i think the maxima is pulling your leg with the swap, because they came with the VQ35DE 6-speed in 02.

the stock nissan 350z and maxima 3.5L motor doesnt have crap on us. ive never lost to a 350z

the new 350z will pull on you, they have a more high rev vq35 in them now.

you're thinking of the new g37, they got the VQ37VHR. the 350z still uses the VQ35HR.

Yeah sounds like he was pulling your leg. 350z motor wont fit in maximas due to hood clearance issuses. But anyway, nice kill. Sounds like his Max needs some TLC though.

Both the motor rev up to 7.5k! My buddy 07 350z ran 13.0 with just drag radials! They are pretty quick. I've beat a couple though!

with abuck. It is unlikely that the FFL version of a VQ is in that 5.5G Maxima. But they did have a 6MT in the SE model and can run even with the CL-S stock v stock.

Also, stock vs stock the 350Z (VQ, VQ rev up and VQHR) should put a hurtin' on the CL-S provided the driver of the Z knows what he/she is doing.
