is the manual CL selling?

I was just wondering if the introduction of the manual transmission have helped out the sells of the CL since it was introduce. Have CL sells increase, decrease, or remain the same since the introduction of the manual transmission?

Also, has the manual CL itself been selling at all?

I was just curious, hope some of you here might know the answer.

Thanks a head of time for any help.

Since when does the introduction of a manual shift actually increase the sales on a vehicle?

It does the the extent that there's some people who like the car but won't buy it with an auto. But I admit there's few of those.

I think it does.
We have a few new members here who just bought the 6-Speed and said they didn’t consider the CL until the manual Tranny was offered.

I'm one.

I was going to wait for the G35 or RX8 in MTX but the CL fit the bill just fine.

Me too.

I've never owned an automatic transmission car.

...but I would guess that the manual transmission market is a lot smaller than the automatic market (at least in this country).

The '03 intro doesn't look like it's affected sales much at all. It was in showrooms mid-March so April is the only full sales month listed:

(stats from http://www.prnewswire.com/gh/cnoc/comp/372013.html )

Dec '01 CL sales: 1,581
Jan '02 CL sales: 1,215
Feb '02 CL sales: 919
March '02 CL sales: 1,261
April '02 CL sales: 1,216

Edit: cleaned up formatting mess. See above link for more specific monthly details.

I almost bought a 6-speed maxima and definitely would not have bought an auto type S.
