Plan keeping my CL for at least 10 yrs. or if trans gives me any grief will be sooner. Just changed my fluid with the exchange method and was surprised that my fluid was already turning dk. pink towards brown! Change your tranny fluid at least every 15000m or sooner! See my recent thread in transmissions.

I hope to keep mine four or five more years. I really love the car I just hope the tranny holds up. That's the only thing that has me worried about this otherwise-excellent car. I love the seats, I love the interior, and I love the engine.

It's my only car, and because it's a daily driver that I've put 28,800 miles on in 13 months, it will never be a show car, but I still give it a spirited drive on the weekends when I can.

Get a fucking life you loser, you call me a NEWBIE, but you only have 107 post.........i just found this board because i wanted to find out more stuff about the CL-s and its always funny to see little trolls like you on every board. I NEVER said i was a "high rollin dog", but i got my cl for a good price brand new.

Once you turn 17 maybe you'll come to your senses to stop trolling around and saying your new car is the shit.....and how am i a little late with this CL stuff, what does that mean? I dont care if i buy a mid 90's turbo eclipse, and i am late buying it, i know its a bad ass car.....loser

Then I get to start having the real fun.

I bought mine in May of 2000, so I already have it for just over 2 years. I still love it!!

And I bought an older Subaru to drive during the lovely PA winters, so, I have "only" 18600 miles on it and plan on trying to keep it low.

Unless I get an OVERWHELMING urge for a stick (which I may), I'll keep the 'Golden Rule' for quite a long while!

I'll keep mine for about another year...if I can keep interest that long. I'm already thinking an Escalade with 23s sounds about right for me...and I'll buy a 58-64 VW bug as my new project vehicle.

100,000 miles is the goal for me.
It should take me about 6-7 years to hit that.
I had my 91 Legend Coupe for 8-Years and 110,000 miles.

My 2001 CL w/Auto was somewhat of a mistake on my part, which is why I got rid of it so fast.
I usually take care of my cars and keep them for quite a while.

I do about 20k/year. I will drive for 5-6 years and sell it. At that time I will look for a similar car but with rwd.

Keepin

I would keep mine til it drops.
Getting a matching colored NSX in next couple of years. Possibly the older models since they are basically the same and can get those for much cheaper. Then fix that up. Need to get a friend for my CL-S...hahahha (This is my goal at least )

I'm in for the long haul, that's why i did the extended warranty. And if i can figure a way to do the S/C without voiding the warranty, there's all the extra power i'll ever need
