Mant. Req'd Blinked
the maintenance required light blinked a couple times when i started my car today then it just went away i know it comes on when you start the car but i have never seen it blink before

It will begin by just blinking a little bit, then as the service interval gets closer, the duration of the blinking will get longer. Once you hit the service mileage, the light stays on.

what sundance said...And if u HAVE had ur service done and it still blinks or stays on.. they (the dealership) forgot to reset it. U can reset it urself, its pretty simple and in the owners manual i believe

Mine just stared blinking at startup too. Just for 10 seconds or so. I have 6200 miles. I saw in the manual somewhere you can reset by holding down the odometer buttons.
