wow! im a little late on da post. well, let little old me put in his 2 cents since i do kno more bout cars than a lot of people. first of all, da tl-s and da gs 300 ARE in da same class. in fact, if u go on da lexus website and compare, they r MAIN competitors. and sorry to rain on ne-one's parade, but da tl-s beats da gs 300 IN EVERY SINGLE WAY POSSIBLE it's not even funny. ok on to da gs 400... very unfair to compare a V6 to a V8. nevertheless, our v-tec
V6's have more potential than those garbage vvti V8's (sorry but vvti sucks and was stolen from v-tec ne-way). a few SIMPLE mods and da tl-s will b giving da gs 400 hell all day! now, da gs 430, a very impressive car indeed! my next car will b a gs 430 (hopefully).
lexus's fastest car. heavy? yes. but fast nonetheless. MY POINT? ok, da gs 400/430 is a fast car indeed. no one disagrees wit dat right? however, if people wit cl's and tl's claim to have spanked corvettes and Z28s, then how hard would it b to spank a gs of ne model???
my opinion on everything: all those stories about spanking corvettes, camaros, ferraris, blah blah, etc. etc. might b just a little farfetched. but it is true, it depends a lot on da driver. ne racer can tell u dat. but beating mustangs, 330's, and M3's r very
believable. i personally, have spanked every mustang gt and 5.0 dat has ever raced me. i have more problems wit little souped up civics than wit mustangs. and da older M3's r not all dat fast. so those cars r generally within reach.
p.s. nicky pass, u need to just chill and b a little more

Dude your on crack. NO TL is GS 300 competiton. The GS 300 STARTS at 39k. ANY TL loaded is not 39k. The TL is based on the Accord and built in Ohio. The GS is on it's on dedicated platform and built in Japan. Yes the TL-S is faster than a GS 300 DUH, built FEATURE WISE, you got to be kidding me. The GS 300 is univerally recognized as a SPORTS SEDAN RWD, I-6 that kinda thing, not some stiffer shocks more powerful engine slap on a badge I am a sports sedan kinda car.
In comparisons, the GS 300 is against the 530, A6, E-320 Benz, you know THOSE CARS. Not no damn TL. The GS 300 does real WELL in these comparos too.
When the TL went against higher priced competion (Motor Trend) it got it's ASS WHOOPED, 4th place out of 5 cars and the general concencous was " HEY GREAT CAR FOR THE MONEY, BUT SIMPLY OUTMATCHED AND OUTCLASSED".
SLam the door on the two. Feel the ride in the 2. The GS 300 steering wheels GETS OUTTA THE WAY when u pull out the key, optitron gauges, self-leveling HIDs, etc, etc etc etc....
TL-s is a GREAT VALUE, but you sound silly comparing it to a superior built and priced car.
You can mod your TL-S and we'll just mod the GS 400 twinkle toes.
You can add 50k in mods to a TL/CL and no one will STILL NOT NOTICE.
So enjoy your ride and please ADMIRE and ASPIRE to superior cars, don't try to downplay them.

1SICKLEX, u need to do ur homework more before u start saying things. first of all, i have nothing against gs's. im hoping to get a GS430 when i have da ends. but u going a little overboard when u compared da tl-s and da gs 300. of course da tl is faster. but im not talking bout only speed. u get a whole lot more value for da tl than da gs 300. da tl comes standard wit almost ne-thing u can think possible. (except navigation dats an option). da gs 300? HA! everything is a freakin OPTION! after these options, da car costs well over 40k. da tl-s wit navi, will save u almost 10k compared to da OPTIONAL well-equipped gs 300. if u dont believe me, go to www.acura.com and compare da two. but like i said, nothing wrong wit a gs. its just all dat extra cost is buying da name LEXUS. nothing more. in my opinion, it's da other way around. da gs 300 is no where near da tl-s. ur right, they shouldn't be in da same league. true, da cl's and tl's are basically better accords. but since u put it dat way, think of ur beloved gs 300 as a better "camry."

Are u sane, the ES 300 is based on the Camry, not the GS. You like the TL-S so much you are making immature and silly comments.
I know, I got both ( for the record)....
If u think sorry leather, fake wood, the build quality of a twig, sharing 45% of it's parts with a 15k car is luxury, fine with me.
Lex Nav is better IMO than Ac nav and the Nav screen in the GS is bigger. The Bose radio blows worse than the factory Lex radio and will get killed by the Mark Levinson system.
The GS 300 will run circles around it on the twisties too.
My beloved Lexus is a GS 400 get is right bub.
