M6 Polarg Fog light Replacement Question

M6 Polarg Fog light Replacement Question
Pertaining to CHODs FAQ: http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/m6/

When its time to change the BULB, if its difficult to PUSH the BULB into the Hole or Fitting, won't it make removal (of M6) even MORE difficult to come out--and breaking it, a LIKELY thing ?

What am I missing here ???

Acura messed one of mine up, so there are now 2 BULBs sitting inside the housings of my Road Lamps--Both need replacing, both will see a completely new housing. I would like to get M6s and ask them if they will replace when the housings come in, but I would imagine they won't go for this.

Thoughts ?

From: EARTH you dumb fuck....!!
why spend so much to replace the housings?
just break the bulbs inside and shake all the pieces out

WHen u replace with m6's, most likely u will have to break the bulb and shake the small debris out the hole to get it out
this is because the m6's just barely fit in the hole of the housing....so when u turn it on too much, the bulb expands a bit and becomes too big to come back out

thats normally how i do mine....its not much hassle

however recently i did manage to pull 1 of my bulbs out perfectly
haha dont know how...

yeah i had my 19224's in for over a year and had to smash em b/c they bubbled...but they lasted a hella long time and r a great compliment to the HID's

try as best u can to jiggle it out...if u can't, needle nose plyers will squeeze it to tiny bits ...i shaked out as much as i could then vacuumed out the blue coating fragments...there were some that just wouldn't come out, so i just rinsed the whole housing out with water and let it dry...piece of cake

I got it before the Tranny Failure. Cooler around 15k, Tranny Failed around 30K.

Funny thing, as I bring it in, one of the Mechanics says, "that car just needs a Tranny Cooler."

I said, I've got one. Boom, they couldn't give me any grief about it causing a problem, but it didn't appear to help either.

Issue is--as has been stated many times--that it is just a DESIGN FLAW in the TRANSMISSION.

Hopefully I'm set, seeing that I got one from the Post 1/1/03 Batch

break the bulb my man...I just put in new M6's after my old ones blew and expanded. There are 2 screws that you can get to through the lower grill and unscrew the foglight housing. One its unscrewed (screw wont come out) push from the side where the screw was until the housing comes out. Very easy to do just need to break the bulb with a screw driver or something and shake out. Replace and redo just as the FAQ says.
