I have an '01 CL SSM and want to get the M5 Lip pre-painted. Those of you that have ordered one from eBay, what color code did you use for the paint? I know the paint code is NH623M but i don't see it listed on any of the ads. Thanks for any help.

 

I doubt you'll find it pre-painted. Take it to a body shop or get a spray-bomb made and DIY.

Back on topic: I agree with Tang, you're going to have to get it primered/painted from a shop. Shouldn't cost you too much, I got quoted around $40 total to get one painted for a friend but the place closed down

 

The M5 Lip supposedly fits better than the M3. I know i have read of members on here getting them painted from eBay so i thought i would ask. The vendor who is selling them states that they can factory match any paint and provide a lot of the codes, but not one for SSM. I guess i will just contact them tomm. For sure, PM being sent! SSM seems to be hard to find but for some reason AM is even harder..tried paint matching that in order to do my engine compartment color-over..but to no avail

depends on what setup the shop uses. most cant... our old axxo-nobel system could.

 

m5 is slightly larger than m3.

 

next week ill get a m5 spoiler lip in a CF that should looks good on NBP

I'm torn between the M5 and M3, I can get the M3 from Juniorbean for like 30 shipped with adhesive and everything..Think I might just wait for the M5.. Thanks for the input guys

Can you please let me know If he can have it painted b4 delivery maybee if u tell him 2 people need it painted the same color he will do it!

Seller sent me a link to RSX/TSX M-5 spoilers sold by them when i asked him about painting the original to match our SSM paint. I don't know the differences in the lengths between the RSX/TSX trunk and CL trunk. Once i get the chance i will look into it further. At least these can be pre-painted to match our color.

Do any of these colors come REALLY close to satin silver?

 

There is like 5 different silver colors that they will paint it B4 it arrives one of these silvers has to be very close if not exact to satin silver CL color..I dont feel like paying more to paint the thing then it cost to buy!

How u think the paint quality is on these things ?? What material is this, he is not mentioning that.. I know there are some cheap looking spoilers made of rubber... u think these are same type of material ? The seller does have nice positive feedback.. i m so tempted to get one for the 04 TL.

the guy has m3 and m5 lip spoiler in a CF and on the pictures looks the same so im pretty sure its gonna fit our cars

if Im not mistaken, there is alil curvature difference in our lids, so becareful with the CF one... someone on here years ago cracked the one they bought b/c the CF did not have enough give in it... it was here on AZ or on Houston-imports...not for sure...

 

I don't have a CF Spoiler but I do have a CF Hood on an SSM.

I also have a CF Splitter that I've been playing with.

 

that CF one does look really good. just make sure the one you get can flex for the curves of our trunk

I like the CF from ebay (Corse Autosport), wonder if the exact one (M5) in the picture will fit properly. Will call them on Monday to find out.
