Luckiest P.O.S. in the L.A.

Last night i was on my way to Long Beach, Downtown for some girls party and i hop on the 405 south from the 101 south right. And these 2 guys were trying to screw around with me or were just being complete dicks. I tried switching lanes over to get to the carpool lane but they wouldn't let me through. So i floored it and b4 i know it i hit 107 mph crossing double yellow lines into carpool. 15 seconds later i see someone flying behind me, then i noticed from his head lights after tailing me for 10 seconds it was a cop. He gets his lights on me and follows me for a good 5 mins to get out of carpool right. We exit and get on sepulveda and he straight-up chewed my ass up. I thought he was about to give me a ticket for speeding (he said he sited me at 95 mph), crossing double yellow line and no plates (I already have a ticket for actually However, it turns out since he wasn't CHP he couldn't do a thing BABY!!! Idk how that is possible but it made my night

LAPD can pull me over b/c they r cops, but can not give me a moving violation on the freeway. Only CHP can. Its their territory. Just like CHP cant give tickets in residential or business area.

i dont know how true that is --- I know for a fact that a buddy of mine got a DUI in a residential area -- however the state cop whos another buddy of mine observed him come off a state highway...

also "heard" that a cop without jurisdiction can pull you over anytime he wants and call a cop "with" jurisdiction to give you the ticket... --- but again thats just what i heard

in any event yes you are very lucky

well idk how it is in ca but in oregon if the cop that gives you the ticket isn't the one who pulled you over you are all good. sounds fair though. if anything a cop can be a dcik and just pull someone over and say hey you wanna write up this guy for nothing. i wish that were a middle finger lol

haha, mods hu? Its been really hard for me to even find time to get my system done. Ive been wanting to go get it fully done and post some pics for u guys but the time really isn't there. Plus, I'd rather put my money in one of my accounts where im receiving 18% interest in return (TAX FREE)!! I love it.

18%... wth. you want to share what that might be...

i was in the same exact area a few weeks ago ... same exit too..

anyways i got a ticket ON THE FREEWAY RAMP to the 405 by a irvine cop, not chp. get this... meter not on, i signalled into the "carpool" lane of the ramp to pass this van. this cop on a motorcycle, speeds up to catch me, looks in the passenger side... i'm like oh f*ck. he then backs off to get right behind me and starts the siren.... just my luck right. anyways like i said the meter was not on, the sign always says "carpool only, 2 or more, motorcycles okay, when metered. i told him that i'm pretty sure its okay since it wasn't on.. he says no and writes me a nice ticket for $350.

awesome, i'm submitting a trial by written declaration or taking him to court....

Sounds a little fake to me i dunno, In oregon Police have juristiction any where in oregon, so a cop here can give you a citation weather or not your in his/her town or county. They usually dont like to do it, but they can. Im pretty sure its like that most places but im not sure. If he really did clock you at 95 mph and you didnt get written up, you are extremely lucky

What type of account is giving you an 18% return? An options plan or something?

Awesome, another story of an inexperienced driver doing something something extremely stupid. You got lucky in that nothing went terribly wrong and no one got hurt. You certainly deserved the tickets.

Yeah, I agree. Just recently some 18 year old kid killed himself and four friends on John Travolta's private runway here in central florida. These kids were racing in their '08 BMW M5 (with a V12) and flew off the runway and hit an oak tree at an estimated 120 mph.....

Wow. You must have a guardian angel on your shoulder.

I had a cop for as a professor once and I asked him if CHP can pull you over on the streets and LA cops on the freeway and vice versa. He basically told me that any officer of the law has jurisdiction in his/her WHOLE state.

what are the speed limits on US highways? here if u get caught going 50km over the limit they suspend your license and impound your car for 7 days with a minimum fine of 2000$, crazy. Ive heard the same thing about Canadian police, we have the O.P.P that controls the highways and then regular police on city streets.

I never said he clocked me. And he was the one that was telling me about how he is not CHP, and if he was i would have gotten a fat ticket.

It says it right under your name. You're 17, and being 17 you're a very inexperienced driver.

Wait, how would I know? I was 17 two years ago.

Even if you got your license the day you turned 16, you haven't been driving very long, and therefore don't have nearly as much experience compared to the older members on this board. (read: they see you as a pee-wee)

i said u would barely be able to drive on the highway in Canada only because we have a graduated licensing system. At 17 (if that is your age) you would have JUST got your G2 license which allows you on highways....

when you turn 16 u can go for your G1 test which is just a written test, with a G1 u cant go on the highway and there are a bunch of other restrictions, you cant even drive alone. After a year (8 months if u go to driving school) u can take your G2 test, which is a actual in car test (no highway driving during the test). With your G2 you're aloud on highways but there are restrictions also. Then after at least a year with your G2 u can go for your G test, which is an in car test where they take u on the highway.....after you pass this you are fully licensed.

"Lucky no one got hurt." like as if im weaving through traffic while im drunk. all i did was switch lanes into a freakin carpool. talking about inexperienced; maybe u should move ur seat 5 feet away from ur wheel and drive old man. ur suppose to be 29??

Dude, kick back. Don't start yappin shit at the veterans here. To an extent you're an inexperienced driver. Not necessarily a bad or dangerous driver, but inexperienced. The guys here know a lot more than we do about these roads and have seen crazy shit happen. Give em a little credit. And yeah, that's some lucky ass shit.

state cops have jurisdiction EVERYWHERE throughout the state

CHP runs the hi-ways in Cali and regular PD has no control over it, however they could have called for one to nail your ass, consider yourself lucky

Ha, I'm still wondering what account gives 18% tax free, obviously it has to be dealing or else you would be crusing in a Mercedes CL Class and not a Acura CL.

Don't make comments that make people lose faith in all your comments, its hard enough to earn trust on the internet, don't make it harder.

With all do respect, you obviously do not know anything about me/my background and what it is that I do. I do not deal drugs if that's what you meant. I'm not here trying to advertise; however, if anyone would like more information in what it is I do and how they can either create more income (career wise) or even create more cash flow in their investments you are more than welcome to PM me for more information. I can provide you with complete company information, licensing etc...
I know exactly what it is that you mean as far as lack of trust in the Financial Industry/Internet today b/c at one point I was in the same seat as you
Btw: It's not what kind of car you drive, where you live, and how materialistic you are. Those are all liabilities. I'm living the life buddy. If you like, check out the neighborhood I am living in (Gated Community). Two of my pictures are by my house.
