I love the red black, my favorite combo now. one on ebay in SoCal. I went from a white/tan 6MT to an anthracite/black 6MT, kinda wished I'g gotten this combo tho.

I've had both extremes, a white/tan CL and anthracite/black CL in Texas. Not that much different, but I have darker window tint on the anthracite. The AC cools down both pretty quick and I have the good custom-fit sunshade. I think the exterior color determines the heat absorbed more than the interior.

 

damn that is hott, yet my BLUE & BLACK is pretty hott as well...

Ughhh, I dont like it, that interior shot looks like a Ferrari, but it is not. I would never get red, can you say speeding ticket magnet?? I have Anthr../black, I think that is the best color really. I like to blend in a little.....They had a 6 speed in every color when I bought mine and Anth was the sharpest. Just dropped the car w/ HR sports, looks real nice now.

 

Don't believe the hype. I got pulled over a bunch of times in my white ford tbird, but I haven't been pulled over yet in 2 years/27K miles in the SMR CLS :knockonwood: (and I drive the same speed).

I like the color combo, definately would be something I'd like if I had to get red.

I have seen a few interviews with police officers and they explain on the types of cars that get pulled over more frequently, and most of the time it is the higher end cars, mostly Audi's that do not get pulled over.

 

That is also my favorite combo. I love the ebony interior. I wish my car was red.

 

That goes great with the SMR exterior.

I always like dark interior colors better then the light tan ones.

GreenMonster, no, actually most cars I see on ebay don't sell anyway, reserves are rarely met cause no one wants to buy unseen. The cars just come up in one of my searches for CL parts on ebay. As far as prices, the longer Acura delays a new coupe the better the prices will be on the CLS and 6 speed IMO.

A woman at work has an 01 red/black CLS and her car looks so sharp! even though it's on the 2nd tranny now. I like my anthracite just as much but the red looks hot.. I know on the G2 Legend Coupes the red ones were highly sought after and looked super sporty.

PS - I got tickets in my white CLS, nothing in my anthracite, but I've stayed off the rural highways this year!

 

When I got my CLS, I had originally been looking for blue since I already had a collection of NJ speeding tickets while in my previous white car. Speeding is a capitol offense in NJ.

I finally got San Marino red on black, after being unable to find a blue 6 speed and not wanting the 5AT problems, because my wife liked it and talked me into it. After almost two years, driving the same or worse (the CLS is much faster) than I did in my previous car, I've never even been pulled over.

My previous car, though white, apparently made a bigger impression on the police than my red CLS.

I like those red CL's. Saw one parked on a side street in Jersey City a couple nights ago....brave soul.

 

I'd pick that car up in a heartbeat if it had Navi!

 

What I dont get, is that if its here in Cali, why does it have arizona plates?

 

Best thing is...Us Alaskans don't need Navi. If I had the money onhand I'd so go for it.

I understand that there's no used car tax in Arizona. I bought mine in Las Vegas but it had "Zonie" plates on it as well. In any case, the last time this car shows up in Autocheck was 10-15-04 when the registration was renewed in Chuckey, Tenn. so it must have just moved to SoCal. - 'yall
