Loud Squeeling from front end

I need help figuring out what this might be. My car is squeeling, almost sounds like it's crying, from the front end. I did a quick brake pad change, but that didn't help. It only happens when the car is warm/hot, never when it's cold. It happens when braking and while not braking. I recently got my clutch changed...could that be a factor? Someone told me it might be my rotors or ball joints.

Any thoughts or help is appreciated.

It could be from the power steering pump. The ball joints would make more of a cracking noise.

Power steering pump? Never though of that...I'll check that out.
It does sound sorta like a metal to metal rubbing...Bearing maybe?

Check your belts. One might be on the verge of dying or just in need of an adjustment. If it is the belt, it's more than likely the P/S belt. Also check the idler/tension pulleys to insure they're properly tensioning your belt.

+1 for belts ... one or more of the belts may be loose or dry rotted and ready to snap.

Easy way to tell. Disconnect your PS belt & see if the noise continues. Zip tie it out of the way.

Could be the belt or the pump pulley. Or the tensioner. Eliminate the PS & see. I would first contact the shop that did the work & tell them what's it's doing. They should cover it.

Yep, a bad pulley or misaligned belt can sound like a high-pitched screech, similar to nails on a chalkboard

We have something called PM's here...

I would have guessed front wheel bearings... But after hearing that you've got the timing belt changed, I'll have to agree the rest that it might be a ps/tensioner/belt issue...

well it turns out my noise was something different. mine was the drive shaft rubbing something. it's weird b/c i had the exact same symptoms that cltypeslow had. after a quick adjustment, the car is back to its normal self. thanks for the help/suggestions guys
