GERMAN HELLA HORNS. LOUD AS CAN BE!
Tired of those wimpy, factory installed horns? You'll get some respect with these. I only honk my horn when it's absolutely necessary. For those times I do honk my horn, I want to be noticed. And just in case you haven't noticed, stereo systems are getting louder and interiors are getting quieter, which means you need to be heard! Plastic? No way! Durable, metal casing for years of survival. Easy installation. If you have horns presently, just swap the horns and use the existing wiring. If you want to add them to your present horns, a relay and directions are included. Loud as can be! 118 dB. Stoutly made in Germany.

Isn't a commercial jet aircraft 130dB??? 118dB should be plenty, Amir.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6779

Save yourself the friggin $12.95 for shipping through Griots rip off garage...LOL...Just kidding.. I guess those horns are really heavy and come directly from Germany or something...

Smitty

p.s. The one Scrib showed has a different number.. But it might just be a Inventory number.. I did not see a differnce in comparison. except for the numbers and price

Actually

This one might be better for your truck since it is Galvanized, only down fall is it 6dB less than other one I showed you.

Well AztecRol is gonna get out his dB meter and test it out since I can't find the specs on it..

He will get back to us..

AztecRol brought it to my attention that this mod, is going to change that nice beep you get when you lock your doors on your CL into a pretty loud chirp..LOL.. but that should not affect you Amir, since you sold us out...LOL..j/k

hook up an air compressor in the trunk and go to the junk yard to find an old semi truck air horn.

My buddy did it in his CJ5 Jeep. That should was loud as fuck, especially when the braided air hose snapped...

Not true.....
That’s an electronic “beeper” and it’s a separate device which is found near the wheel well on the passenger side of the car.
It has nothing to do with the stock horns.

My Legend Coupe had a “wimpy” horn that was better suited for a Civic.
I bought two “Cadillac Horns” from my local auto parts store for like 25-bucks.
I don’t know if they’re actually something that Cadillac uses or if that’s just the name, but they worked GREAT.
I disconnected, but left the stock horns in place and mounted the new ones right behind the grill opening and it was FREAKING LOUD.

The stock horn in the CL is fine for me so I have no plans to swap it out just yet.

I went to the local Auto Zone and got a pair of air horns, hose & compressor for $25 bucks. It's QUITE loud I made the mistake, whilst hooking it up (with my head rather near the horns), to brush the trigger wire against my +12v line and it definently got my attention

I've been tempted recently to mount an airhorn (or one of those airhorns that's a compressed air bottle with a horn on the top) inside my passenger front wheelwell area with a remote trigger, just to scare the SHIT outta people with their windows open when they're parallel with my front right wheelwell.

Also would work great on those bicyclers as you pass them. See them fall off their bikes.

Ah I'm so mean...

Where is a good place to mount the horns in our cars? Would they fit nicely in the stock location?

Asian car horns sound :ghey:. They don't get anyone's attention. Car horns should be LOUD.

Good catch Shawn..

Hey Rol, you got some stock dB #'s for us?

mc222--> which horns are you talking about?.. an air horn?, the aftermarket upgrade 116 db horns?, or do you mean keeping the factory installed and adding a horn/air horn?

The 116dB upgrade will replace the factory horns
or
An air Horn should be placed behind the front bumper in an area that will not see alot of dirt.. preferrable pointed downwards. Once you get dirt and poop in them they no blow no mo.

Thats what "pain" ball guns are for. Cranked up to 450fps with frozen paint balls.

Heard these in person installed on a '64 Impala at a HUGE meet we had at Arundel Mills last year. I'd love to have those on the CL.
