Looking for a new car...

I'll be in the market looking for a new baby soon...still got the CL, it works fine and I'll be keeping it for a LONG time but what kinds of car would you get in addition (not looking for anything outrageously expensive...but maybe a step up from the CL?) Used to have a '98 GTI VR6 and really liked it but I kinda like the G35...anyways...

any ideas?

dont worry I already took a peek through the 'worst cars' thread.:P

Honestly.. your best bet is to probably do a search. There have been a bunch of threads lately asking, what's the best car under $25k, what's the best car between $20k and $27k, what's your beater car, what's your daily commuter, etc. All of those threads will probably have a TON of info.

BTW, my choices would be the Dodge SRT-4, Subaru WRX, Nissan Z, or Mini Cooper S

well if you have a CL and are keeping it then you already have a coupe.

Id look at like a WRX, or other 4 door, something a little more practical.

But if you have the CL who cares? The CL can be the beater (assuming you step up). I'd look for a used M5, like an 02 or 01. Hopefully I can do something similar in a few years.

At our local BMW dealer ship.. I know it's crazy.. I didn't believe it until I saw it too.. I guess it had really low mileage with SMG..

But I know for sure that some rich sucker will get it though.. :o

Since you have a CL and still plan to keep it for long time, G35 might not be a very good choice because it is kinda close to the CL. I don't recommend any near-luxury vehicles since CL is one of them. Why not buy something very very different? How about Subaru Impreza WRX STi? or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution?

I'd get an S2000, with a CL-S you don't need another practical car.

I was looking at those online yesterday...I'd like to get one...but I didnt see the option to lease one? Guess I wouldnt want one that was used if somebody already revved the shit out of it. great suggestion though...gonna have to do a little more hunting around for one

Another really tempting car. I was just looking up some pics of some that an import shop got in Houston. They have everything I want except they dont have HIDs and cant get stock NAVI. Other than that I really want to at least drive it (if there's any left at the dealerships that havent been sold yet) and see how it feels w/ that AWD, 240hp and (I think) 236 ftlb torque. Woohoo. Ok now you got me excited. JEez Chaptorial! Would you get one of these?? honestly??

another vote for the sk2 man... you just can't beat engineering like that. I mean SHIET!... 100+hp per liter stock is incredible

I don't know about anyone else here but, I've never seen a car (besides exotic) that turns more heads modded or even stock.

Hey, its rumored that s2ks can hit clean U turns at 60mph on a 2 lane road.
I mean DAMN!

To be honest I personally wouldn't. However i've never really liked hatchbacks. However you mentioned that you used to have a GTI and that you loved it. Considering how similar the two are and the fact that the R32 can be modded through the roof it would seem like something you should definitely consider.

No HIDs and Navi alone shouldn't stop you from considering this car. You already have em both on the CL.
