Aight, I am Lookin to get New headlights/tail lights, supercharger, and a carbon fiber hood, without takin a big hit to the ol' wallet. Can someone help me out?

now for my useful post...

these days we need to define the "depth" of your 'ol wallet. the supercharger is going to run ~$2K-3K used or $4K new. carbon fiber hoods are under $1K, i don't know exactly. as for your lights acura makes the only lights available for the car, i.e. stock OEM. maybe you have an 01 with the chrome housing and all red tail lights and want the 03 black housing headlights and split red-white tail lights.
so maybe that's not a hit on your wallet, but for most that will sting a little.

 

u might wanna downgrade to a civic and also please take those hideous under glows off for god sakes

I have no room to talk when it comes to underlights... My first car was an infiniti J30, and yes i put underlights on it i really liked them though. back then everyone else liked them too, had the 7 color options with many multi-functions. of course i'd turn on the playboy pink for the ladies, and i'd turn on my blue/red/white flashing along with front n rear strobes to pull over my friends. ...and yes i still have them... and more importantly NO i'm not putting them on the cl!! sorry for the novel, just thought i'd finally come out of the Ricer closet.

Supercharger only runs about 2 grand used. As for the headlights/tail lights, you can tint your tail lights and do the black housing for your headlights. As far as I know, those are your options for the tails/headlights. I don't know of aftermarket ones available. The hood, I don't know if one was made for your car, you'd have to wait for someone else to chim in.


If you come up on a used S/C for around $1800-$2400, then it's a great buy. The hood, I would assume run you about $600 if it exists. The headlights and taillights would run you about $40 in spray paint to do.

Labor will run you about $800 for the S/C, and everything else I mentioned anyone can do by themself.

So looking at everything, expect for it to cost you roughly $4,000 making it pretty fair.

AN ENGINE MADE BY HONDA!!! oh and the LED's only look bad because i am not done with it, so far i have the short ram intake, body kit, recaro seats, new rims, ya see the thing is, i left for iraq when i wasnt done with it, and in fact i am still in iraq, i am just looking for ideas for when i get back, and i plan on spending 5k. sorry i was sooo vague before

I don't think the TS understand what rice is.

Rice is modifying a car based on things that won't attribute to the performance of a car. For example: Body kit, neons, apc crap, halo headlights, euros/altezzas, tyc mirrors, roof/hood scoops, large wings/spoilers, z3 fenduhz, interior lighting, vertical doors, etc.

 

I would add to that the idea that tasteful mods such as blackhoused headlights or an M3 lip spoiler or OEM spoiler, and good wheels are not ricer mods...just so he gets the idea. Oh and the new RL and Accord have blue interior lighting - so that one may be up in the air lol - but surely no lighting that flickers with the beat of music, that is most def rice.

what can i say, this is my style according to how i like it. sure some of you may have different mods, looks, and ways of getting your cl to be what you want, but that was the idea of this whole thing was to get ideas from different areas, thats what makes it MY car. and the fact that i want it to be a ricer is MY choice, and if you dont like it on yours, well that is just what makes it different. all in all, i dont want your cl, i want mine.

Senate, I'm in minor defense of you because it's your car and you have every right to mod it however you feel it suits you. When I put on my "unique looking" pinstripes on my first 2.3 some people had an issue with them. However, I didn't mind it cause my CL was cool to me with them on. So although I don't care for the lights on a CL I do like the idea that you can stick up for them without being all F*** You! to everyone... So good luck with your car and in your modding!
