In preparation for the upcoming IC/E-Manage install.

AEM wideband O2 Looks like a pretty nice system, fairly simple.

It'll be installed later this week.

Smitty has extra gauge cups so mounting won't be a problem

Call me stupid (STUPID!) but if you are an automatic, why do you need those? Just to say "Oh shit!" if something goes bad or just to have lit up gauges in your face? Seriously...I kind of like the gauges on the a-pillar it just seems useless to me.

That's not a tach. A/F ratio is a good thing to know when you are running boost auto or manual doesn't make a difference for that guage.

Does it display the value in the center as well as the digital color sweep?

Looks good steve! Can you explain the advantages of having a wideband O2? This is new to me, thanks.

We are going to have to tune the car via the GReddy E-Manage once it is installed. This will allow me to tune it on the street or at the track instead of going to the dyno over and over again. I'm still planning on renting the dyno for an hour because it isn't that expensive ($100 or so) and tune it. But this will automatically tell me if i'm too lean or too rich.

When I dyno'd with the S/C my A/F was in the low 11.x:1's. I can lean it out a little to around the low to mid 12's and pick up some power. Also, by controling the injectors through the E-Manage I can lower my fuel pressure via a re-calibrated fuel pressure regulator to a "safer" level.

Most vehicles from the factory come with a few narrow band oxygen sensors. Narrow band oxygen sensors only read A/F ratios of 14:1 to 15.7:1, which is a very small margin. Basically, they are looking for that magic number of 14.7:1 A/F ratio. Anything left of that is rich, anything right of that number is lean and the ECU tries to adjust accordingly. Obviously this is very inaccurate since most vehicles run richer when the car is WOT. A wideband O2 Sensor will read A/F ratios of 10:1 to 20:1, therefore allowing for better tuning. Also, many of the widebands out today have datalogging features so you can record your A/F times, go and adjust your injectors through a piggy-back unit like the E-Manage or the V-AFC or S-AFC, and then have better A/F ratios.

The WBO2 sensor is probably the most informative gauge in the car. I love mine...

Nice pickup.

Never seen an A/F that displays the values in both digital number form and with the meter.
