I was real close to getting one of those, went to check them out and that is one hot little car. They had an Imola Yellow AE in the showroom, looked great.

I've driven the 337 before so I didn't go for a test drive.

 

Wow thats a real nice yellow. I love the way the headlights look too.

Damn it even shows the # of the production line. Cool. Any idea on how many they plan on making?

They made 1000 yellow, 1000 blue, and 2000 black. Then Canada got 200. So there is a total of 4200 out there. They are not number in Canada. This is all what I heard so Im not positive.

 

The production number badge is pretty cool.

That would have been a nice feature in our CL Type S six speeder (with supposedly only 2700 made).

 

My friend has a 2002 GTI and has had an unbelievable amount of problems with it. He's had it for sale for 6 months and has had absolutley no luck. I think he's asking about 15k for it now with about 5000 miles on it. Apparently he's trying to lemon it now...after he's replaced his second manual tranny. I don't know if he just has a bad one or what...

 

is there any truth to the rumor that VW has changed something about the 1.8t engine over the years that makes it hard to chip it to the same powerlevels you could in previous generations?
