Loaner, it's about luck

Just wondering what the best Loaner anyone has got from Acura. I took my CL-S in today for rotor service and to get my non-matching headlights fixed and they gave me an '01 Acura Integra. IF I GOT there just a little earlier they would of gave me a Acura TL-P w/ Navi. I saw this guy drive off in it after he dropped his RL off. Anyhow, let me know the best and worst of loaners. For instance, the 1982 Geo Metro, you know.
Back to work.

Dealers get a special allocation of cars as loaner from Acura (or American Honda). I know my dealer signed up for, and received several 2002 TL-S's as loaners.

In the early 90’s my Acura dealer used 4-door Integra’s exclusively for loaners.
About 4 years ago they switched to Ford Escorts to save money.

I along with everyone else used to bitch about it every time I went in there and they finally switched to Taurus’s now.
Not too bad because I only work about 4-miles from the dealership.
I hated the Escort, but the Taurus isn’t too bad.

Personally, I really wouldn’t want then to use the high end TL’s & such for rentals.
Can you imagine how much that costs them in depreciation each year?
And I’m sure this cost is passed on to the customer in higher service costs & less “deals” on new cars.

I got a '02 TL-P once. I usually get a 4 door integra though. I usually take it back as early as I can. I can't stand to drive it.

Damn it's Monday and only 9:15. I hate work

haha I took the Lexus in for service and they gave me a mazda protoge. I was like, yo I droped off a $38k car and u r giving me a $10k car to drive??? What am I going to say to my customers at my business meeting this afternoon, do I sue you for not getting the $500,000 contract because they think my company is no good cause I drive a $10k car? and kept bitching, they finally gave me the manager's GS300 for the day. I didnt know that managers at dealers get to drive a new loaner/demo(or whatever is called) every year.

I always get a 4 door Integra, but I don't complain cuz at least I'm getting something to drive.

The manager at acura in Austin used to drive around in a CL-S with comptech headers and exhaust!

Only loaner I ever had to get was when I had my 300M. Chrysler gave me a little 4cyl chevy. Forgot which one, it was a 2000 though, but it didn't even have power steering! Nothing was power, AM/FM radio only too.

I took my CL-S in last week. I saw several tegs there and I was hoping Iwouldn't get one. Luckily they gave me an RSX. Was hoping that they would give me an RSX-S, but Oh well. It was still fun to drive though.

I always used to get 4 cylinder, 4 door Integras. They are terrible. The road noise is loud, the stereo is hollow, and it's slow when merging and passing. They are OK cars, it's just a little harsh after driving the CL-S.

Recently, during my last service, I got lucky. They gave me a 2001 silver CL-P. Great car, not much different than my Type-S. They seats are really comfortable, and it turned out to be a lot faster than I thought.

My biggest problem with any loaner, is the lack of tint and sub-woofers.

My friend has a 2001 325xi. They gave him a 330Ci for a loaner - he figured it was some sort of veiled sales pitch. Well, it worked. For the week that he had it, he just drove around with the radio off so he could listen to the engine.

Well, I noticed the leak on Sat....
and it makes nasty clicking sounds sometimes when I put it in reverse.
So, I want to check it out...
drives ok though
but if I switch gears a few times without moving it makes those
metal clicking sounds... so got me worried...
did not leak after sat though, but I want to make sure..
hopefully it's just a minor leak

I've gotten a Toyota Corolla from an Acura dealer that uses Budget rent-a-car for loaners. I had to fill out an extra form because it was through the Budget Rep.

I took the Benz in for service and got a Land Rover Discovery. That thing was pretty sweet.

Last time i took the CL-S in i got a 02 RSX 5 speed auto. Not bad, but it reminds you of how good our cars are, and how buzzy the 4 cylinder is at high revs.

Last winter when I was getting my accessories put on my car, they gave me a 4 cyl. Accord. It would have sucked except it was snowing that day so I proceeded to have fun doing donuts in the parking lot.

I have to take my car in this week to get my bumper fixed so we'll see what I get from Enterprise. I don't think there's snow in the forecast this weekend.

I can't believe this! You guys/gals are totally getting scarred. I took my 1st gen cl to Carland Acura (outisde Atlanta) for my 30k service...I didn't even buy the car there. I told them I wanted a CL-S for a loaner. They said come back in an hour when one will be returned...I came back, and there was a CL-S cleaned and waiting for me. I didn't have to fill out any crappy paperwork or anything. They told me to have fun with it, so I did, for almost 2 days (didn't feel like returning it right away).
