Loaner

When you guys have taken your car in for warranty work, does the dealer offer a loaner vehicle? Or does that depend on the dealership. Thanks.

At my dealer it depends on how much work is being done. I think anything over $250 they give you a loaner.

If they have to keep it longer than you can wait demand a loaner.

Dealers here pretty much leave it up to you but you must schedule in advance. Don't expect anything great. It'll either be an Integra stripper or in my dealer's case a Mercury Contour (I think, Ford has the same car).

My dealer always requests that I drop off the car in the morning and drive a "loaner" for the day. "Loaner" meaning an Acura demo car or a rental (which is usually a damn FORD POS!).

Whenever I go to Lehigh Valley Acura for anything from an oil change to warranty work I get a styling FORD TAURUS to drive for the day.

I do need to make an appointment about a week in advance to be sure they have a car for me.

Mine did, had a 2000 Integra for a day and drove the sh!t out of it. Tough cars, but they drive like under-powered go-carts. I also found that they have limited off-road capabilities...

Last time, at Synnyside Acura, I got a brand new TL, 2000, couple hundred miles on it. I was happy, but really I was easy on the car.

I have to schedule my service and book a cloaner. If drop and wait for change-oil it means I do not need a loaner.....

So, better calll schedule a service and that is it! I deal with Ted an very friendly guy

I get an Integra LS auto every time I have my car in. I have to make an appt in advance. They certainly don't offer a loaner, but never turn you down if you ask for one... even for just an oil change or something.

Here at Sussman in Jenkintown, PA I get a loaner car for anything that is warranty covered and will take some time to fix. So I wait on a oil-change but when I brought in for sunroof squeeks and rattles I got a rental. They have an enterprise person right in the waiting room. So far I had three jeeps, Cherokee Sport (sucked), almost brand new Grand Cherokee Laredo (5k on it, enjoyed that) and the last time a very used dirty Grand Cherokee with only 13k on it, but beat up as hell.
