Pulleys

I was wondering if anyone knew if Pulleys in general woudl make a big difference in HP gain or speed gain. Im thinking of getting the AEM pulleys but im not sure how good that brand is or pulley upgrades in general. And im somewhat worried about losing my warranty on the engine but i heard that jsut having an intake will void engine warranty, so if it did, i minus well get the pulleys. Can anyone please help me with any info. Thx alot.

Thank you CLPower for such a fast response. WOuld you happen to know if there are any side effects or downsides to upgrading the pulleys. I heard soemthing about it taking power away from your car and I dont really wantto worry about not enough power to the AC or to my Sub ...etc

a intake shouldn't void the warranty unless it is what causes the damage to the motor

WHOA. Have you people actually used em?

Accord EX V-6 with pulleys, stock stereo and 50 watt bulbs:

LOSS of power, predicted battery life 6 months.
After 4 months it had very negetive effect on the car.
While car off: very dim headlights, couldn't play stereo at all with headlights or a/c on.
While car idling: stereo would cut out with headlights on. Couldn't play stereo with headights and a/c on. Power accessories would dim lights and stop stereo. Stepping on the breaks would dim interior dash lights.

After replacing the pulleys, problems dissappeared.

Dyno results:
Max gain: 2 hp
Peak gain: 0 hp
It followed the stock line almost perfectly. Only on occasion did it dyno better. Many things could have affected the results, so no impressive gains = not worth the money.
