I do NOT agree with your statement about Acura putting these cars together well. While I haven't had any problems with the exterior, the interior is put together horribly. Rattles, rattles, rattles.

I think my CD player failed and jammed with one type of CD-R. After I stopped putting that manufacturer in (can't remember which one) my CD player would work fine. The CD player was replaced under warranty.

Also, my navigation seized up several times, and had the computer (in the trunk) replaced along with (eventually) my lcd display. So far, haven't had any problems since the spring when the work was done!

Other than that, I have had 1/15 the problems of my Land Rover!

1) Memory seats not working. Parking brake wasn't plugged in. I noticed this shortly after delivery.

2) Replaced drivers side lower control arm @7500 miles. Seems that someone at the factory didn't tighten some bolts down (that's what the dealership told me). I thought it was only the swaybar clunking around

3) Couple of other minor things I'll have 'em look into next week when I bring it in for the 15K service.

talked to an ex 911 owner and present nsx owner.
he tells me the porsche is too expensive to fix and the nsx 1996 is unbelieveable still a bit expensive but its a honda product so itll last longer

2003 6MT from 1st batch (build date 3/02); now with 17500 miles predominantly driven in city traffic on the crappy streets of the urban NorthEast.

Sunroof squeak - fixed with anti-squeak tape under TSB.
.
.
.
That's it. No rattles & everything works great.

The more I read these forums the more I think I got the proverbial 'Wednesday car'.

ACURA can not fix this problem, because they can not identify the rattle, which is somewhere behind the back seats!

If you paid for it I think you need to look for another dealer.

My 03 had the warped rotors @ 25k miles, took it in for an oil change and mentioned vibration when stopping from high speeds. Next thing I knew I had resurfaced rotors and new pads all around under warranty... I only paid for the oil change.

Other than that (which I don't think is a big deal), no problems, no rattles, no tranny failures at just under 28k miles.
