My guess would be that either pads would work, but I would probly order the pads designed for the calipers in question (legend). No diff in rotor size.

Whichever is sold cheaper! They are the same. I noticed however that NSX pads are usually 5% more expensive just because they are for the NSX

i don't mean to dig up this thread from the dead, but i noticed that it says 1997-02 CL calipers are compatible with legend calipers. Are the 03 calipers the exact same ones also? thinking about doing the caliper swap.

safest bet is to order pads that fit the calipers. so order 95 Legend pads. I did and they fit perfectly.

they stop better than the oems imo. Two piston design (same as the nsx) and actually utilizes larger pistons than the nsx calipers

How hard is it to swap the OEM calipers for the Legend ones? Anyone have a picture showing a before and after or do they look nearly the same?

On a side note, I am probably going to be replacing my pads soon and was wondering what everyone would recommend.

the OEM and Legend calipers are the same size. the only trick is to install the left Legend caliper on the right side and vice versa (you need the bleeder bolt to be at the top of the caliper). just remove the OEM calipers and install Legend calipers with all of the stock mounting bolts, etc. easy.

while you're at it, replace the stock rubber brake lines with nice stainless steel ones. they're only ~$100 and they get rid of that mushy feeling brake pedal.

as for pads, I'm using Rotora ceramics and I'm quite happy with them: low dust and good bite so far.

so the Legend calipers fit our rotors but just require pads for the Legend meaning the CL ones can't be used? making sure.

the Rotora ceramics while braking they are silent. the only complaint i have is the noise they make when you release the brakes. they kind of fart. it's not unusual for brakes to do this, these are just a little louder than the average.

Can you notice a big difference in braking power with the 94-95 GS calipers?

Yes. I had the NSX ones on my car for a couple months before I parted the car out. They are a lot better than the stock calipers. And the Legend calipers are better than the NSX calipers.

That may be true, but the NSX ones looks sweet. Especially when painted properly.

It would be nicer if the RL calipers fit just because they say Acura on them. I would prefer that over NSX. Sounds like I will be doing a pair of 94 GS Legend calipers when I have to replace my pads.

Anyone besides me thought of doing the TL 6MT Brembo's? Just get those calipers, and '04TL 5AT brackets, and they should fit.

Try it for us all, I'd be very interested to see if they actually fit w/o any extensive modifications.

I've noticed that on a lot of websites that sell the OEM Legend GS brake calipers, they are made by different companies, one cost more than the other. One is black while the other is gold.

That's just nuts.

I would have to paint them the same color though.

So I have a 95 Legend coupe 6MT, I have not driven it in months now, CLs calipers are one piston compared to 2 for the legend? The leg3end uses the same pads as the CLs? Ifthat is the case the Legend really was ahead of it's time...or the CLs is behind it's time lol.

I was going to powder coat them and do the rears as well, but it was going to be too much work.
