The 93-95 Legend LS coupe calipers have the largest pistons, bigger than the NSX calipers.

Yeah, I'm in the process of getting my hands on a pair of calipers myself.

Are the Legend rears also a two piston design? Do the stock rear CL calipers only have one piston?

They are single pistons in the rears.

The Legend ones are slightly bigger than the NSX ones.

The Legend caliper has 42 mm and 38 mm pistons. The NSX caliper has 34 mm and 36 mm pistons.

Just got my calipers installed and had a quick question. Do the stock CL calipers have a retaining clip on the top of the caliper like the Legend does? Number 18:

When I installed the clip it rubbed on the outter edge of the rotor, make a gosh awful noise. I was trying to find a part number for the CL caliper, but couldn't find anything.

Do not install those clips. I think I mentioned that in my thread when I installed my calipers. I had the same problem. I took them off....problem gone.

Right, I noticed you mentioned something about the clips making noise on your NSX calipers. The clips are out, and there's no more noise. I guess problem solved. All I can think of the clips are there to put presure on the pads so they don't wobble around, not like that's really a problem.

Yes. Just the fronts. The rears will not fit.

It's certainly better than the stock setup, although I was expecting a much more drastic outcome. Hopefully I'll only have to change pads every 30k+ miles and not have to deal with warped rotors anymore.

The calipers are more than likely not going to help the warping problem, and if anything will wear the pads quicker.

Yeh. I forgot to say that. I have gotten 50K miles out of a set of pads and then 10K out of the same set. The only thing than changed was I went from doing mostly highway to mostly city in a year.

Did you ever have problem with warping on your rotoras with your NSX calipers? I changed out the whole front brake system with rotora rotors, ss lines, ebc pads and the legend calipers.

Why is the CL prone to warping? I've had the car for two years now and haven't had a problem yet. The car did come with cross drilled rotors, don't know who made them. I notice a humming noise if I go on the brakes pretty hard as the car stops, but I read somewhere that noise is normal? I'm hoping to do my caliper swap at the end of the month.

The stock rotors and pads suck, and the car weighs 3500lbs.

The pads ain't that bad. But paper thin rotors on a heavy car that is usually driven fast....go figure.

Question for those who have done the Legend/NSX caliper upgrade. I was wondering if you guys noticed the pedal is softer at all because the master cylinder is pushing more fluid to the caliper, volume of the single piston vs the volume of 2 pistons?

I was wondering the same. My legend calipers are still sitting in my room as I haven't gotten a chance to install them yet.

Another concern was braking when there is little pad material left, as someone brought up in another thread.
