Left Headlight not working sometimes
Left Headlight not working sometimes
I just moved my 2001 CL and when I parked it the light headlight was out. I went in the car, turn off the lights and turned them back on and the light worked. Has this happened to any of you guys?
Mine has done this twice since I bought the car. Everytime it happens turning the lights off then back on does the trick. I read some stuff on Xenon/halite lighting systems and the "ignition" process is actually very complitated. It involves pulsing the electrical current several times before the current becomes continuous. Anyhow... after reading about how it works I figured failure to light was just something that happend every now and again.
My car has acted up like this twice..... (as far as I know) The first time was when I picked it up NEW from the dealer....My bro was driving behind me and I was driving my old ride.... I noticed 1 light wasn't working.... a simple ON/OFF fixed it..
Battery?
Could it be that the battery is going down? My car once did it when I left my headlights on while I was working on my friends ride. One light went off and I figured that my batter was going low. So I cranked my car and it wouldn't start. I let it sit for a few minutes and let the reserve come back and within 10 mins. the car started and both lights worked.

My right (passenger side) did it once also. OFF/ON then it works like nothing wrong. Dont know what to tell dealer if I decide to bring it to their attention since they wont be able to duplicate the problem.
You guys read what I wrote above. I have the same exact problem....guess what, it was the inverter. Just take it to the dealer and tell them the problem. Don't be worried if they can't recreate the problem...just let them check it out.
