LED's blinking fast??????

i just purchased some very nice LED's and put them in my front turn signals....the only problem with them is that they blink very fast. the arrow inside of the car as well as the lights outside of the car.....does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts to what could be causing the LED's to blink so fast????? thanx !

it blinks fast cuz the car thinks u have a blown turnsignal lamp.

maybe the LED doesn't complete the circuit and is giving the car that indication.

Possibly correct in part. The LED will draw much less current than it's filament predecessor, maybe this leads the monitoring hardware to beleive there is a problem.

The flasher is set to respond to a certain current load .. if that load is reduced, it will flash differently to show a change in load (faster in this case). The LED's definately change the current load it is expecting ... therefore, changing the flash frequency.

Use a resistor to step down the current. Do you have the rating information on the led's you bought?

i'd guess somewhere around 400-500 ohm resistor.
