Latest Word on the 2002 CL-S

I was wondering if anyone had an answer for the release date on the 2002 model. I know a lot of people have been speculating, but I figured with 2 big car shows already occurring this year (Detroit and LA) if someone got a definitive answer. Thanks in advance!!

What is it that you expect to be different? I haven't heard anything.

It's not so much what's different (very, very minor changes), I'm debating on whether or not it's worth waiting for the new Blue color(s). I'm a big fan of blue, but I want the Type S now, but if the 2002 model is out this fall, I'll wait, otherwise, I'll probably give in to the temptation

Acura people at the LA show told me that the blue color was still not going to be available for the type-s. If this is what you are referring to as the blue color, then I am sorry. I knew you guys wanted to know for sure, so I kept asking and made sure that they knew what I was talking about. They didn't even know that it was avail. in canada though...So it looks like you would still need to go to Canada for the blue color unless someone else has news otherwise. This is directly from the workers...not me.

Well if that's the case, then I have a decision to make... different color CL-S or a blue TL-S. Oh well, I have until May / June before I'm ready...plenty of time

Well, I'd assume that the new model would be available in November of 2002 as November is always when Acura's new model years arrive unless they do a special onetimer. The dealership here has maintained that the CL won't get a model year change until November 2002, and they're maintaining that blue (very very very close or a near match to the SEMA CL) will be available. Add to that the fact that a preliminary color chart was released for the 2002 CL and a blue was on it, and I'd say that blue is gonna happen. I'm waiting for the 2002. Bad thing is my lease ends in October, but I'm selling the car to my parents since they like it that much. I either gotta get them to let me drive it for a month or two, or what I'll probably do is borrow something for a month from the dealership. In any event, 2002 in November, and BLUE!!!!
