KYB AGX shocks

Does anyone know if KYB has the AGX shocks for the CL-S yet?? From the impression, these are the best gas shocks on the market. True?? Is there anything better?

I checked with the shops and they said they don't make them for the CL-S...yet. I hope they do soon. If not, then I'll have to settle for Koni yellows.

Are there any issues with the difference in weight between the Accord V6 Coupe and the CL-S? I know we use the same springs and they lower the CL-S more than an Accord. Is this something we should be concerned with? What does this mean for the wear on the shock?

BTW, my bro just got these shocks and Eibach springs on his Civic Si and loves them.

I'm pretty sure the Accord and CLS have different weights.

However, I am pretty that the Comptech springs are the same springs for the CLS that they make for the Accord. (This is what Comptech told me when I asked why they didn’t make “special” springs for the CLS in lieu of just using the Accord lowering springs for the CLS.)

So, if you plan on using "aftermarket" springs, they generally are available for the Accord (as in the case of the Neuspeed front tower strut brace).

BTW -- Bilstein is working on shocks for the Accord too...

I currently have KYB AGX struts in my Miata.Although it is a very different vehicle than a CLS/CLP I will say that they work very well on the Miata. The downfall with these is that they are somewhat noisy in operation making what amounts to high pitched wheezing as they are compressed and extended.I initially suspected that I might have gotten a bad batch but in investigating this I found through the Miata.net that most people using these struts reported this noise to lesser or greater degree. It is not a bad noise however it is audible.Since these are luxury cars you folks are driving you want to consider this prior to making any decisions.Jens
