Kumho, Toyo, or Nitto?

Im trying to decide between these three tires
-Kumho ECSTA Supra 712
-Toyo Proxes T1-S
-Nitto 555

I dont have a lot of money so i wanna know if i should go w/ the cheap kumho's, and if the kumho's suck should i go for the Nitto's or the Toyo's?

i like my kumho's because i also did not want to spend a lot of money, anything is better than stock tires.

Depends on if how often you want to switch your tires. The Toyos are max performance and will bald out after like 15k of driving and less so depending on your driving. I'm not sure about Nitto or Kumho. But the T1-S are sticky as hell.

the kumhos are great for the $$. i paid $550 installed w/ 100% roadhazard warranty. the toyo dealer wanted $900+ with less warranty.

15K?

Yeah right. Maybe if you are driving like an idiot.

They last ~25K miles if rotated properly.

Shoulda shopped around.

My toyos were ~$700 installed, with free rotating and balancing for the life of the tires.

Kumhos are a much harder compound. They don't handle as well.

Sidewalls aren't as strong. My friend has them on his Type S, and they feel like shit compared to the toyos.

i have nitto's, good tires, scary in the rain though...but that may be the case with all ultra mega max performance super duper sport tires...

but they get better in the rain after about 4k miles.

even if i could have gotten the toyos for $700, i would have gotten the kumhos. these tires are to get me by until 19"

plus my warranty owns yours...

Go Toyo, and i don't agree on the 15k estimate. I run mine hard and they are looking good after 8k so far. Proper inflation and rotation are key.

If you have the money, get the Toyo's!!!!!! The RULE!!!!!!!!!! I have had mine on for over 10K miles, and I estimate 20 - 25K miles on them. They are VERY soft, so they will wear fast!!! If you are tight on money, get the Kuhmos. A lot of fools have them and seem to be happy with them. They will last quite a bit longer than the Toyo's, but they wont be as sticky!!! The Kuhmo's will be better than stock though!!!!! Good luck and keep us posted on your decision!!!

Although the Kumhos are cheap, you get better performance from the Toyos. If you can afford the Toyo, get them.

What about Falken's? You're not going to autocross with them, but for daily driving they're ok.

I needed all season; so I don't know if this applies, but I ordered Sumitomo HTR+ 235 45 17 ($100/tire) from Tire Rack on Monday and they arrived yesterday! I will let you all in on my impressions after a couple of weeks - I was going to get the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ($212/tire), but they are on back order and more than twice as much as the Sumitomos'; so I could not pull the trigger whe I ordered.

Take a look at the August Sport Compact Car magazine - they review quite a few tires! Next up 5zigen Fighters (Titanium)!

Got any pics of those rims?????????

Let us know about the Sumi's. They sound like they will be a good tire.

I vote Toyo's. However I have only had experience with Michelin, Dunlop, & Toyo. I never looked at the others.
