I think so. I know the SC300 uses the 2JZGE engine. Which I believe is the same or very similar to the Supra engine. I don't have time to look up the info, so I'm not 100% positive.

It definately uses the same block, and I imagine it's pretty close to the same unit found in the Supra. This engine is also used in the GS300 and IS300, while the ES300 and RX300 use 3.0 liter V-6's.

2JZ-GE is used in many Lexuses and the Supra non-turbo.

The 2JZ-GTE is the SupraTT engine and might also be in a couple Lexuses (Lexi?).

If you're gonna do boost, you want the GTE. It's built to last.

don't forget a forged "lower end" meaning pistons, con rods. If you want(and got the money) while you got the motor open go ahead and bore it you'll get more RPMs that way but as all HP options you'll be shelling out more cash.

The 3 liter inline 6, 2jzge is a good engine, but it will cost you way to much to put out 2jzgte numbers, if thats what ur thinkin about doin.

YES YES YES...DO IT...You just need to get someone to transplant the Supra TT engine into it! Do it, you won't be mad. There are a couple of guys putting down 500+ with the luxary of the SC400.

the 2 hardest parts of this job will be #1 finding a good Supra TT motor to swap in at a good price(if they're in the junkyard they've been either wrecked, ran the P!SS out of , or just junk )(try to find one that was hit on doors or back(somewhere like that)(usually when they get hit on the front end it messes up the motor)
#2 hard job will be finding someone to do it. cause I bet you'll have to get custom motor mounts and custom transmission mounts. I don't wanna say it's not possible but you got a big job in front of you.
Anything possible with enough cash(Like I know a friend he had a little 2wd 2 door blazer(the ones on a S-10 size) (listen to this) he somehow dropped a stroked and about every power thing you cold do to it 454 Chevy big block into that. I'M SO GLAD he listened to me. cause I believe in roll cages I told him to put in a roll cage. well one night he went out playing around with his Blazer and hit a pole at 100+MPH (AND HE LIVED) he said if it wasn't for that roll cage he'd probably be in a coffin. but MAN that truck was crazy fast to bad it's in some junkyard

I'm pretty sure you can order a brand new 2JZ-GTE block from an importer for a couple grand. They still make the engine, you know.

there are a bunch of SC300 TT's running around.... nice cars.

the 2JZ-GE/GTE is built like a brick shithouse. the motor can be aboused and beat up on, but it still runs fine. i'd worry about replacing turbo's on it before rebuilding the bottom end.

you dont do an engine transplant into the SC400.... you buy the SC300 5pd and twin turbo it using the 2JZ-GTE exhaust manifolds. the intercooler piping has to be modified, last i heard.

there was a guy with a pearl white SC300TT that came down to the Tysons/Starbucks meet that we had a couple of months ago...... he did have California tags i believe. the front mount on that thing was

This is a 2JZ-GTE with a big single turbo going in Clint's new SC300. His old one was a twinturbo SC300.

It was my wallpaper for a few weeks.

i'd go with any of the later model years that you can find...... i should think you're gonna have less problems with squeaks and other annoying shit the newer the car.

From what I have heard is that although the engine block is the same...the NA 2jz-ge is not built for turbo applications. So, yeah...you're gonna need a new motor. Not to mention the tranny to handle all that power....so, a few grand for the motor, a few grand more for the tranny....probably about 1K for the ECU...and then install. Base price to do all that $6K min.

And that doesn't include labor nor all the little goodies you'd need like upgraded fuel system, a nice FMIC, an MBC and/or BCC, and tweak controllers like AVC-R and SAVC.
