Kind of a stupid ? but I get this wrong all the time...

Alright so I need a new outer door handle on the Passenger side for my 03 CLS6. Its cracked and when you pull to open the door, it starts coming out of the door...

So here is my question:

Is it the Right or the Left side?

Reason I ask is I was told that the right and left sides of the car are when you are looking at it from the front. THIS makes the Drivers side the Right and the Passengers side the Left. However, when you are seated in the car, its the opposite. To fight that argument, with the seated heat buttons, the Left is drivers and right is passengers..

So what door handle do I need? Right or Left?!

I'm thinking right but hell, I dont know anymore...

If you are ordering the part from the dealer just ask for the driver side, they should hopefully know. If not I'm guessing it would be the left.

I need Passenger side though... So I think that I need the right...

Whatever. I'll order it and see what comes in.

okay, its from the driver's seat. so the left side of the car is the driver's side. the right side the passenger side.

Right side. I kinda pondered this myself as i was ordering parts from under my bumper.

Driver-Left, Passenger-Right.

Ok, left & right are determined by your normal left & right forward position.
So your left is the drivers side & your right is the passenger side.
