I was on a four-lane, two each way divided road, and I pull up to a stoplight behind a van, with an older Maxima in the other lane (even with the Van). A few seconds ago, this Max had cut me off to get behind the van through the construction zone, rather than behind me.....needless to say I was slightly.....perturbed. The Max is white, with white neons and not much else. The light goes green and I immediatley get behind the Max, as he accelerates, I jump in front of the van (using my signal) and get even with the Max.....

Into D2 I go, VTEC kicks in and my engine roars to life. I leave the Max behind and he tries his damndest to get back up beside me....We're doing 80 with no traffic and he is falling back everytime I step on the gas again...

We come up on a car going slowly, so I brake and stay even with the slow car......he gets pissed off and swerves from lane to lane, eventually turning off...

That is my favorite body style Maxima ever.

 

I love Acura Cl-Tl the most. But at the time, I could only afford the 6 speed 3.5 VQ max. I have often wondered how the CL and Max 3.5 would do head to head.

 

Ditto w/auto Max. And head-to-head, CLS/TLS = 3.5 Max > CL/TL.

 

Stock for stock a CL-S and a new 3.5 Maxima are about the same.

Or was it 3rd gen or 1st gen (no pic posted to lazy to add), I doubt seriously if it was an 02/03 Max thats like saying he whipped a TLS or CLS.
