I was just curious what cars you guys have raced, the reason I am asking is I raced a 93 GT mustang this morning and beat him.... Isnt that pretty insulting considering the Mustang is supposed to be a sports car, lol I just am wondering if you guys have raced any of these cars and what the outcome was....

I raced a 540 from about 30 to 120. He pulled on me up 'til about 80 but I took him after that (I honestly think he let off though). I was all in fun.

 

Not saying it didn't happen, but a 540 will walk us bad at anything above 60mph or so. A CL will be closer to a 540 from 0-60 than 60-120mph.

M3 new: Not a chance, the CL will be hammered
Previous gen M3: Pretty close, again driver & tranny dependant
Civic Si: Win for the CL
Rsx TypeS: CL should win
Integra Type R: not sure. I would imagine the CL would win, but don't know.
WRX: from a stop, the WRX will walk. From a roll on the hwy, the CL has the advantage.

Funny you guys metion the 540, I raced one Sunday, I belive it was a 96-99 model, however it could have had some mods.... he did some some nice rims. We were just riding side side til about 30mph. I thought something may happen so I turned off VSA and used SS. Anyway... he put the hammer down at about 30mph, I was locked down in second at about 4000 RPM. I also punched it and we were side by side til about 70mph. However, I wasn't watching the tach and hit the rev limiter at about 7200.. once that happened he was gone of course...it didn't really matter becasue we were going to have to let off anyway... traffic. I know I could smoke that ass from the line.. but they are stong once they start moving.

 

I am assuming all these cars are stock!

M3 new - spanked one while turbocharged... will probably tie one now
M3 old - will spank anytime
Civic Si - spank VERY badly
RSX Type-S - spank convincingly
WRX - beat him slightly either from a stop or a roll
540 - will beat one

 

Any more? Anyone run a new maxima yet?

 

ive run with a 2k2 maxima, and the new one should be only slightly faster.
with the 255hp maxima, it was barely a win. with headers of course, i walked him by 3 cars. intake added and, well i havent tested that one yet.
point is..... the new max should be 100% identical to a stock type s.

 

cool.... do they make the new MAX in stick ? and is your car stick ?

I've driven a '99 540i 6-speed. Above 60 or 70, it would take our lunches from us and eat them right in front of us. That's a no-joke ride, boys and girls!

Now, if it were an auto with a timid driver, maybe...

 

i walked a 540 badly from a stop from a roll and above 100 he was just getting smaller and smaller

 

I took a 2003 Maxima SE 5spd by about two cars...stop til 50mph...then he told me that he missed second...yeah sure . I had a 2002 G35 sedan by about 1.5-2 cars . My friends 2003 Mustang GT had me by about 2 cars . Stock CL-S 6spd...dead even . Walked on my friend's 03 altima 4cyl. by like a mile . Smoked a couple of old M3's , shit-load of civics , and one auto S4 had me by about 1.5-2 cars!!!!

 

i was racing with my friend's E46 M3 the other day and he smoked me bad.
From rolling start 60-120 mph i was able to keep up while he was gaining on me ( lost about 1 -2 car lenght) but then after that he just kept on pulling till 140 (now about 8-10 car lenght) and i was still around maybe 125.
our car have no "juice" after 120mph..........sad

btw he's 6 speed and mine is auto.

 

On nitrous taken out a couple Vettes, non 03 Cobras, rx7 tt, 3000 gt tt, Trans am's , Camaro's, WRX'S, and many other guys that didnt expect a CL to be spraying.

 

A WRX (non-sti) pulled into the hole-shot lane next to me. On green we both hit it. I had the jump and kept it...once vtec kicked in I pulled away at a good pace.
