Just spoke with Comptech about the SC...

They are saying that the SC kit for the 3.0 liter engine will be released at the end of March. They expect about 50 horses at the wheels out of it. No probs with the tranny yet from all their testings, they are using the tranny cooler. Fitment shouldn't be a prob, although a smaller battery would be needed.
The kit for the CL-S is expected to be released in late June....
I don't know if I can wait that long!!!!
Comptech is saying that the difference between the CLS and Accord would be the piping and brackets, b/c we have a dual
throttle body and sensor, they are not sure what other parts will be involved in this. Comptech won't be selling any of the parts separetely. So, I am wondering how hard will it be to get these parts custom made(brackets and piping), also what else is needed... Any thoughts on that???

Woot woot! S/C'd Accord here I come!

I think I might have to put my stock wheels back on the car for my S/C'd Accords maiden voyage. Enjoy a few months of sleeper slaying, and then put the CP-035's back on.

Still no firm date though?

Are you willing to pay $5,000 for a 50WHP???
You should have bought a used M3 or better, plug in some NOS

But Yeah, a NOS helps in WOT only not in the drivabilty of the car.

Damn right I am! I don't think of my car as a form of transportation, its my hobby. Hobbies aren't meant to be an intelligent invesment of monetary funds.

Computers are a hobby to, just a lot cheaper. Do I really need that GeForce 4 4600 when it comes out so I can play computer games at 200fps when my GeForce 2 GTS will get by at 90fps?

Do I really need to spend $5,000 for an extra 50hp? Nope, but I still want to!

Tell you a good advice, Trade your accord for a new WRX or better wait for the EVO Lnacer. if you do not like the interrior, then go get yourself a nice used 2000 S4 for some $25,000 throw a chip and and you would be racing a stock blown really sport car..

For less than then the trade value of your accord + CT SC...

I've had a ECU controlled NOS on my Maxima 2 years ago, it was fun but it's pain in the ass with the refills, purging, maintanance and so on...and it only lasts two minutes.
I am probably gonna get flammed for this. I dont think NOS is something that you put on a luxury car, maybe on a Civic or Integra.Nowdays where I live a lot of kids with rice mobiles use NOS, I just can't picture it on my car anymore.
Just my thoughts...

LOL... well I already test drove a WRX and after hanging out on their message board and seeing the dyno's for a few modified WRX's in Turbo I decided to pass on that car. The WRX was too "Peaky" for me. No low end and weaker high end. (Compared to the mid range) All the torque is in the mid range and most of the dyno's I've seen show a "twin peaks" for the torque curve.

I also test drove an automatic S4, and you guys though we have a bad transmission... that car was even more unresponsive and rough shifting than our cars! The power and handling in that car was was amazing though! Talking about pin you to your seat kinda power compared to the Accord.

I've already decided that my Accord is the car I'm going to mod. Not because it makes sense, or because its a great platform to mod, but because its NEITHER of those things. Why do people build 12 second minivan's and 12 seconds school buses? Because its fresh and different. Not that I plan on building a 12 second Accord, but I enjoy having an Accord that is underestimated by others on the street and especially at the track. The CompTech SC is simply the next step, regardless of if it makes sense or not. My Accord is my hobby, and soon will be just weekend track car, and not my daily driver.

No it's called having an air of originality or difference compared to being your generic Supra/Camaro/Mustang/whatever fast car.

And I guess the whole notion of a sleeper is beyond you also.
