just raced a 330ci 5sp

well my friend at work has one and we were always talking shit back and forth so finally at lunch today we raced. to make a long story short i got a perfect jump on him and i ended up beating him by a 1/2 car but it was a great race, i didnt relize how fast we were going i hit 110 man what a rush the race was so tight it could ve went either way he says he wants a rematch tomorrow.

i lost to a 98 m3 by less than a car 0-80. the 330 w/stick is def an even match.

You guys are full of it. Every CL-S I raced whenI was stock wasn't close. I'm talking 2-3 cars. Now, I can increase that lead to 3-4. Come to Houston if you're around.

i am not full of shit he has a stock 330 ci 5 sp, why isnt it possible for him to lose, and for all the critics out there he had a 5 speed mustang b4 his 330 so he is an avid driver.

I think he is referring to the race with the M3, not the 330. Great race though!

thanx man, hey i got a quik question for you i have been looking at some used m3 in the paper i saw u can lease a used one, tell me what u think of the price its a 99 5sp with 14k miles for 569 a month for 36 months remember i live in ny, what do u think?

If the 330 was a Xi (all-wheel drive) then you should have lost. Those Xis are comparable to the E36 M3..except handling. If it was a normal rear wheel drive then I think it'll be close. Nice race.

thanx man, i read those xi's do 0-60 in under 6 sec do those come in 2 door or 4 door, we are going to race again at lunch i will post what happens.

Actually the 330Xi is slower then a 2WD 330. I think C&D or Motor Trend posted a really low 0-60 time, but I don't think it was accurate. It might've been 5.9 instead of 6.9 or something.

Anyway, did you friend race you with the DSC off or on? He should turn it off or else he'll be slower at the start since the car will apply brakes to ward-off wheel spin. Good luck!

i dont know if he turned it off or not, he probably did he knows about that car he races it alot and he has had the car for months so i am thinkig he did.
