Just purchased.....03 CL-S

I just bought a Aegean blue Cl-S. I had a 02 TL-S, but I had way too many problems. I got the CL with 43k for 17k. Love the car fresh off of a lease. Car was well taken care of. But anyway. I am looking for a m5 spoiler. Wheres the best place to get one? I just call the bmw dealer and they said 155.00, and of couse thats not painted. So where should I look?

Thanks

Check out Ebay first. I think one of our vendors sells them. Anywho, have fun with it.

uh oh

Fresh off a lease is definitely something NOT to love... Leasing means not owning, and it possibly means a few years of regular unleaded and cheap or irregular oil changes... the person had to give the car back, so what do they give a shit for? Also, although the CL-S is great, don't expect better reliability than the TL-S...Sorry

well the car was bought and serviced at the dealer that I bought it from. It actually belonged to the finance manager. My TL had double the mileage my Cl has, and I also had to replace the motor, so anything is more reliable than that. but we'll see what happens. thanks for the info on the spoiler

To clarify....when I say "welcome to the money pit," I mean that they will be looking to spend a lot modding the car, not a comment on the maintainance cost of the CL. For me, I hardly spent a penny on maintaining my CL other thna oil changes, brakes and tires. Everything else was covered by warranty work. I did spend a lot on mods, but got a lot of it back when I parted the car.

As for what I'm driving now....I traded the CLs with 88K on it for a bone stock 2004 Infiniti I35 with 55K and a 2003 Pathfinder SE with 50K.

Pics are on here....

I had warranty cover a new tranny, motor mounts, SRS sensors (3 times), catalytic convertor, heated seats, memory module for seats, rear view mirror, front struts and a couple other odds and ends.

Still loved that car though. Same color as yours. Enjoy it.

When I say money pit I mean mod wise.

there is a "performance" store in natick center called intentional or something like that but you're better off just ordering any parts you want online.

Just out of curdosity what was wrong with your TL besides the motor? I mean the CL uses the same motor so how is this different?

Not always true. My dad leases his cars and he keeps them VERY mechanically up to date. So it really depends on the person. My mom has a company car and she gets a new one every two years. While shes not great about doing everything shes pretty good about it. I mean how much damage can you do in two years if you keep your oil up to date? Other then that in two years a car doesnt need that much.
