M5 Trunk Lip?
Hey I've noticed a couple of you have that sexy little lip on your trunk and I easily found how to get one. However, was just wondering if its a bitch to perfectly align it on the trunk without getting the adhesive all over and if it tends to rattle/shake?

i was dumb enough not to have someone lend a hand..so theres a 6-8inch section in the middle of the trunk where it doesnt curve with the trunk perfectly. you cant notice it though unless i was to point it out..im just picky.

how much do these usually run for? reason im asking is cuz the one on c-c-c.net is about $140 while on ebay the exact same one seems to be $50?! has anyone had experience with the cheaper one? they seem identical to me...

did you guys get your lips yet? the seller's attitude to those who posted negative feedback seems pretty obnoxious and he hasnt responded to any of the emails i sent him regarding shipment, fittment, and quality. both of those facts about the seller makes me question his business conduct so was just curious how your transactions went.

If this deal doesn't come through soon i'm tempted to leave negative feedback but he sounds like a dirtbag who would trash me back despite his poor conduct.

^^^You have to be very cautious when buying from Ebay vendors. Some are very knowledgeable about what they sell, then others just want to make a quick buck. Always read the seller's feedback comments before you buy!

Actually i take that back. I got a notification from the post office that they have my spoiler and they're holding it until i come by to sign and pick it up in person.
But just my luck, they just closed as i got it.

Okay, so now I'm officially confused. Is it the M5 or the M3 lip that fits our trunks the best? I've seen them on eBay but they never seem to have it in SSM. Fill me in.

If i'm not mistaken, the M5 lip is like an inch and a half longer than the M3 so it's the M5 that fits our trunks best.

Yeah, I've seen his. I love the look of it I just want to get the right one. I haven't seen a SSM one offered on eBay in a long time though. Every other color but not SSM. I haven't got an email back from the seller either so I'm not sure where to find one. Sucks. Really want it for Christmas.
I never got an email back from the seller, which I've read is quite common with this seller, which makes me want to avoid this guy, but I guess if he puts up an auction for a SSM one I still might go for it. I'm just not sold 100% on it yet because I still kind of like the smooth lines of my CL without a spoiler.

i got mine and stuck it on last week, and love the way it looks.
The quality was good, and it was a pretty simple install although my dad had problems on his end

Overall I'm satisfied, and once i get my new camera for Christmas, i'll snap some shots and put them up in the photo gallery and maybe one here
