Though nice that it was included from factory, if you look, the bar is connected pretty much to the body of the car. This also bends and flexes reducing the effectiveness of the fatcory bar.
The Neuspeed one is attached the the bolts that hold the struts which are attached to a structural component of the car which is more rigid. This makes the Neuspeed bar more effective in reducing flex up front.
I got and installed mine today, and left the factory one there too... it can only help.

If you look it is bolted to both the body of the car and the struts. I would think that would be better...

Are there any installation details that would important to know about? (For example, are the instructions clear and easy enough to make this a 1 hour job, 2 hour job, etc?)
Are there any issues that concern leaving the stock bar in addition to the bar.
I have looked at the bar and it looks like it would help reduce any "twist" in the struts. Since I've got a lot more and sticker rubber than stock, I'm sure a bar couldn't hurt!
Could you leave a brief commentary on install procedure -- no need for any novels, but just a brief step-by-step install (with any watch-out notes).
TIA

The one that messed up the car was the front lower tie bar. I dont think anybody has tried the rear tie bar yet. I know johntypes will be trying it soon. Comptech does not make tie bars for our cars.

First, remember that this bar is really for the Accord, like many other our aftermarket parts. But it fits perfectly. Really good construction.
Somebody else in this topic mentioned that the Neuspeed bar is bad for the CLS, I can't imagine how, wish I had some explanation.
The install. is very easy and the instructions clear... but again, they are for the Accord.
The steps I followed:
1) did a visual placing the bar over where it's supposed to go. Noticed that the new and factory bars would be very close to each other especially at the base of the passenger side strut. There even was overlap between the two which prevented the install. of the new one.
2) totally loosened up the factory bar to make space for the new one. This allowed me to re-align the OEM one as necessary. This is necessary because the Neuspeed one fits so well that there is no play, which is exactly what you want in these type of applications.
3) removed the bolts, installed and tightened the Neuspeed bar. This one is mounted using two of the three bolts that hold the struts. (the two rear-most ones)
I was surprised as to how soft those bolts were to remove so I gave them an additional 1/4 turn when tightening them back.
4) re-positioned and re-thightened the OEM bar. This was no problem because the holes in the bar have sooo much adjustment.
That's it. Total time was about 20 minutes but I have installed strut bars in other of my cars, so I kind of knew what to do.
Should not be more than 45 to 60 minutes.
Went for a test drive. There is an overall feeling of tightness. I seem to be feeling more rattles now... hum!
Today I'll go to some twisties to see if I notice a real difference during spirited driving.
I think this is a nice addition.

I asked the Neuspeed people about the rear strut bar and they don't build it for the CL.
Looking inside the trunk, I don't thint it'll intrude the cabin.

I think you're right because the rear towers are behind he back seats. You cannot access them from the trunk. Hence you must take out the back seat for Springs installation.
