What's the BMW limited at? My friend has a 2001 330ci that is limited somewhere around 130, I can't remember exactly where it is

It was limited to 155 but that was removed...the best pic I have of the speedo at speed. I have had it over 155 since ECU mod but no pics. Also some pics of various mods.

Here are some pics finally of the car out of the garage - icy/snow coming tomorrow, so I drove around for hours today just to enjoy the car a little.

I was GPS clocked at 149MPH in my '93 SHO. They're aerodynamically limited at 143MPH in stock form. I only had a K&N filter and ported intake at the time. This was on a newly paved stretch of highway with a lookout car way ahead of me making sure there was no one ahead. It was a choice I made and I understood the risk. Fastest I've ever gone was around 160MPH on a Gixxer (friend has done over 200MPH per GPS on his turbo'd Busa). Speed is addicting but I find it much more fun getting to speed fast. Once the acceleration slows down it isn't as much fun.

I can't understand how this dude who started the thread did 147mph. Not being a hater, but having HR Sport springs and running on stock shocks and going that speed, not the smartest idea in the world.

Now if someone had a good suspension setup and wanted to go that fast, hell, good for them. But to do 147 on a shitty suspension setup, thats really asking for trouble if you find any wave in the road, your car will be bouncing up and down like a madman.
