Just got the HKS put on today....opinions and stuff
It looks great! And sounds good! I can really hear the HKS once I hit vtec..but it's a good sound, very aggressive..low and bassy...just like ppl described. I was somewhat worried about the sound especially since I also have headers and intake...but it sounds good!
I first wasnt sure about the tips...I think they are a perfect size, especially with my 18" wheels. The install took less then 7 minutes...I was lazy today, so I went to my Dad's Muffler shop and they hooked it up. I just gave the mechanic a $20 tip. It was easy as hell to do though, simple bolt on! And dont forget to put on the gaskets to avoid any leakage. If you are thinking of keeping your car as a "luxury coupe," avoid the HKS exhaust...might be too much of a rumble for you. But if you like an agressive sound and look (without looking too ricy), go with the HKS system. In terms of performance, I think that's totally subjective...but I "felt" a slight improvement in performance.

COngrats man!!! I cant wait to hear it, i heard Johns comptech exhaust last night at the track... and they sound bad ass... but i need to hear it when it hits vtec.. i only heard them when the car was in park. But like you said, i think i want to keep my TL as a luxury ride, so i might not add anything.

I've had the wheels since march of this year and no bends so far! I took my tires/wheels off 3 weeks ago to inspect inside of them...perfectly fine..nothing bent so far! I was worried though after hitting some bad pot holes....

haahaa... I know..I know..I wasnt going to get one..but SFLA Type-S posted a great price! It was too good to pass up, I'm happy now! hehheh I'll post pics soooon!

The exhaust you installed is just the muffler section only right? I am planning to get the same set up and was wondering if HKS makes the center pipe section? How much did u pay?

When ya gunna take that bad boy out to the track to see what all this wealth in mods has brung ya?? You have the opportunity to beat Spiroh's best of 14.7, you guys have virtually all the same mods, but you have lighter wheels and fatter, and better rubber. Now you have the exhaust to finish it off (well, until syn comes up w/ this new mystery mod).??

I think I'll hit the track at the end of September sometime! My tires may be better then stock..but the wheels may slow me down (they're 18") we'll see what happens...

By the way....the car sounds awsome when you start the engine..man..get the exhuast too
