It was alot easier than I thought. You just have to really take your time, have the proper tools and chemicals and patience. The car looks awesome with the clear bra on the whole front end. I will take pictures shortly after I finish doing a few final touches on the edges and reinstall my grill. This is a recommended mod defintely for anyone! It is guranteed to protect your car from rocks, debri, etc. My friends have been protected from tire shread and it didn't hurt the car!

Good luck with it ! Be sure to post after awhile on long term wear. My only concern is if the edges fray or get dirty or discolored.

You won't see the edges on the front, they wrap around the edge, stongard exclusive. The only edge you see is the bumper, top of hood and thats it. As long as you have a good seal and make sure its down the 1st 3 days, it won't get anything under it.

Pics are up guys....sorry camera batteries were low, so about 2 came out slightly blurry but if you look really hard, you can see the edge of the line where it ends. It's very hard to see on silver. Black, White are really the only 2 colors that it shows up on easy.

Looks great, good job. I'm sure you'll enjoy it - there is a nice feeling of security when road debris is getting thrown up in front of you.

One point about 'wrapping around the edge': its not a stongard exclusive. The custom installation of stuff described at clearbra.net also wraps around the edges.

Kit prices 400-500 bucks. I got a good deal on it since I know a guy, I can't really say how good of a deal. Wasn't that hard, you just need to take your time, thats all.

Yea it is very unnoticeable. My friend saw it today, and was unable to see it till he was almost on top of it. He personally still didn't like the lines, but I was like, either that or chips all over the front end. I like it better than a real bra.

I'm assuming you like the x-pel protector? It's only 100 bucks and my first chip I just got really pisses me off. I'm thinking it may be a cool father/son project, just like the CAI. Is the hood pics that Speedy put up, the same type of coverage you get from the X-pel (how far it covers the hood)???

Thanks!

Xpel does not cover as well as stongard. That is price you pay. They put relief cuts in it to allow it to fit easier. Stongard does not have these and you have to stretch it. xpel leaves stuff not protected, and stongard goes over the front lip of the hood and under it to protect the edges from debri as well, x-pel stops at the edge and you will see it.
