Just got back from the dealer . . .

Well, Lotus dealer that is. I put my deposit down for spot number 76 on the Elise list. Expected delivery date is next summer. Can't wait!!

well, actually, I am undecided on color. It is that one, or what they call "Chrome Orange". If I knew how to link a pic, I would. But if you really want to see it, just check out the website.

why dont more people have these cars? quantity available?
and how the fuck do they make it so damn fast?

i woulda thought it'd be more expensive, being a lotus and all.... but it is a four-banger. a fuckin sweet one at that tho

they are only making 3500 a year-so, that is why the wait is damn long!

No way its a low 12s car.

0-60 is around 4.9 which is still bad ass. I think i read another thread where they saw the Elise at the drag and ran around mid 13s.

yeah it is funny, the little sales brouchure that they give out is basically a reprint of Road and Track, and in that, it says 12 sec. But if you go to the website, it says something like mid to low 13's. hmmmmmm, guess we will just have to wait to see for sure!

It's a 13-second car, but considering the number of modifications available for the 2ZZ-GE engine, you could run forced induction or whatever you want pretty much. If you can put down about 250 horsepower at the wheels, you will be running 11's easily, even getting into the 10's.

I would get chrome orange, fun car get a fun color........I like the Elise but it's a little too small for my tastes.
