Just finished installing my TEIN!(long)

Late this afternoon the UPS guy came and delivered my Tein Coilovers. I open them and had to decide when to install them. I said phuck it and install it now by myself. Then, hopefully somebody will come to him me. The first our and the half, I barely got both front shock/spring out and found out that I needed a spring compressor to remove the OEM upper mount. Then, when I cam home and was compressing the spring my brother came home and help me. The rest was history, except for rear coilover where I got into an accident awhile back. Some of the control arms not perfectly align and it too awhile to get them connected. In all, it too about 5 or so hours to do it. It actually, should of only took 3 to 3 1/2 to do this.

I dropped it 1.75 in the front and 1.5 in the back. I might let it settle before I drop another 1/2 in the front and 1/4 in the back. I want a 1 finger gap all around.

Now on the ride...I left it on 1 or whatever it was on and I did not mess with that yet. The ride fills like just like stock and I actually could not feel the difference. Right now, so far so good.

Cool man, I just got my NEX coilovers put on today. Dropped around 2 inches all around from stock height but I gotta raise the rear a couple twists... maybe a quarter inch. A little too level a drop for me right now. Almost saggy. Or I may just drop it all another half inch all around but leave the back a couple twists higher.

Kinda, but not really. I wanted something that I could adjust the height and softest of the ride. Also, if you just get springs, you gonna have change your shock eventually. Therefore, why not get all in one and plus has some other special feature for just about the same price.

I was looking at the prevoius thread and found nothing. Also, I though $900 was not that bad of a deal cuz everywhere else was about $900 to $950 plus shipping. Thanks tho.

Goldline Springs

I resently put Goldline springs on my '98 CL. The're actually made for a 95-97 Accord. It dropped it 2 1/2" in the front, and 2" rear. I have to be careful around tall speed-bumps, but overall I am real
satisfied with the look and ride. Its a little more bouncy than factory, but I'm glad I did it (especially with my 16" Motegi wheels and l/p tires). Anyone know about the Goldline springs in general? Also I'm looking for a body kit for my car so I can duel it out. Can anyone help?

Yes, they do. And I believe they're around $850 from ACP.

It just like any other aftermarket parts...it is for an Accord that we can use too or share.

How hard is it to adjust the ride hight and the stiffness on the Teins??? Do you have to take everything all off again and put it all back on and hope its right. Ans what if you feel like riding around with them set real stiff for handeling.....can you jsut pop the hood and trunk...make a couple twist and then be on your way???

1)Adjusting the height - all you have to do is jack up the car and make a couple turns with Tein wrench.
2)The ride is stock, but just alittle bouncy.
3)Adjusting the stiffness - the front you have to pop the hood, but the rear you have to take out the seats, which take about 5 min and make a couple of turns.

My nice dirty car just now. Overcast, slightly rainy day:

That's with NEX coilovers. I measured from center of centercap up to top outer edge of wheelwell and got 12.9" front, 13.1" rear.

To compare that with my Comptech drop (which, as advertised, dropped the front 1.5" and rear 1.0") the measurement was 14" front and 14.5" rear, IIRC.

Chod should really be more clear with his Comptech drop description and say it's 1.5 front and 1.0 rear.

Click here and go to Car pics and at the top of page one you can see a comparison of my Comptech drop next to my Nex drop.
