jumping ship??

in june or july i might be jumping ship. im thinking of getting the g35c, 350z,sti, or evo mr, maybe even an audi. the awd is sounding nice now seeing as how its snowing out side and im sick of getting stuck at home because the cl is a pig in the snow. but i will always be at home here at a-cl

I have AWD and am in Georgia, no snow here. But the extra grip is welcome in low speed turns and in the wet...

Yeah my TL, even with the OEM Michelins handles pretty damn good in the snow. I'm not doing 60mph down the road or anything ... but you've gotten be careful driving any car in the snow. If its just the snow thats making you want to switch up then maybe you should just try buying a 2nd set of rims and some blizzaks or get a good set of All seasons... A lot of people have been saying the Yokohama AV-4S is a good tire in the snow. Thats probably what I'm gonna replace my Michelins with this spring/summer.

BTW- The 350z and G35c aren't going to handle any better in the snow than our cars. Especially if you don't get winter tires for the car ... IIRC both the 350z and the G35c come with summer tires.

yea i know im not only thinking of dumping the cl because of the snow. the milage is starting to get up there and i really want a factory turbo awd car. i just love the 350 and the g35c. but as i got to thinking about the snow again i am leaning more towards the sti or evo mr, poss a audi turbo. i want the extra room and along without haven to worry about snow and what ever. i dont want an suv so when the time comes i will let you all know. but i am looking forward to getting rid of the 01 cl head ache.

CL = great in the snow once you replace the stock tires. In the snow is the one time when our 63/37(???) weight distribution really helps out. VSA is great in the snow as well.

I think the stock tires aren't too bad in the snow ... You're not gonna be able to drive fast, but as long as you're cautious and drive slow you'll get where you need to go. As an OEM tire I think they do pretty decent in rain/snow ... its the dry that they're just eh.

Of course, I have nothing to compare it to at this point ... so mebbe steve prolly knows better than I do

Probably double that. Its a more powerful S4, and the new S4's are like 50-55k.
