Jet-Hot Comptech Headers have arrived (PICS INSIDE)

They have returned to me. The quality is astonishing! Great work Jet-Hot

They go on Friday.

The E-Cutout goes on once I receive a working unit from Steve, for now, it's just a cover. The 2ndary bung hole is for the WB02 sensor.

Sorry if the pictures are under/overexposed, I took them in a hurry.

$268 TOTAL (includes shipping back to me + 10% discount)

My other expense was shipping the headers to them, which was ~$20-25 via FedEx.

The price is ~$195 for a 6 cyl. + $15/sq. ft. for the A-Pipe.

You know what I realized?

Are gaskets necessary between the A-Pipe and the two headers?

Can I pick these up from a dealer?

Nope, the purpose of Jet-Hot is to lower the temps AND zero color change. Always looks brand new.

Yes, you will need a gasket. Try to see if a muffler shop has one. You might just have to ask CT for some.

DAMN!! Sorry hommie, but you got ripped off!! I got mine done at Jardine Motorsports in Corona and they sent it out to Jet-Hot and got it back to me in a week and it only cost me $160.00. But they still look tight!

Looks great. I wish I would have done that to mine. Can't see too much of the headers with the SC but what you can see is black.

If I need new, CT specific gaskets, I'm hoping CT can overnight them to me before Friday.

Nice... Do you have an approximate idea of what the temperature retention is like?

wow those look great. looks like you get HP gains AND get the headers to stay looking like that for that price.

According to the August 2002 issue of CarCraft, with the application I used on the headers (Sterling Silver) and for engines that reached above 300F, the car they tested went from 524F to 201F. Over 50% reduction in heat. Pretty cool I think.

Looks like the right gasket. Comptech kit comes with Qty 3 - 2 1/4" compression gaskets that drop right into the groves. The OEM one's you have should be slightly raised above the edge so they can make contact when compressed.

I finally figured it out! I sent the damn headers with the O-Ring/Gaskets installed (PICTURE ABOVE)! So they coated EVERYTHING. I had to use a screwdriver to pry off the 3 old gaskets, leaving a few nicks and scratches on my new coating , although, they won't be noticeable when installed

Seems like I have to find 2.25" gaskets at an autoparts store somewhere. The OEM ones don't fit the the groove.

Oh, why did I pry them off? Because they were flat! So they would provide absolutely NO seal if I left them on. Damnit, so pissed, haha. But the damage is little or none, my ex-gf was laughing at me... "ummm, what damage are you talking about?" me: "here..." her: "you're too f*in anal Dustin"

That is the gasket. It's a crush gasket. No need for anything else. Not sure if the stock ones will fit. I was told by CT they wouldn't. I had to get a set from them. Although I hear some other guys have used the stocks ones & they work. Either way you need new ones. You can't reuse the old ones since they are designed to crush when tight.

You can get the crush gaskets at any muffler shop or auto parts store.

So were those brand new when you sent them to Jet Hot? Or did you buy those off of Steve?

So if you sent a set of headers that have already discolored (15-20k miles) to Jet Hot are they gonna come out looking like yours?

EDIT: Didn't wait for the pic to load before posting. WOW what a difference
