I've got a QUESTION.....

If I order the AEM CAI, could I use the stock rubber piece that connects to the throttlebody. I could cut the top part of the tube to length......Kind of like the Xzypher intake.

For ease of installation.........Isnt the performance benefit from the removal of the resonator and making the air path less restricted?

Just asking dood When I installed the CAI, I made use of the rubber sleeve that comes with the AEM kit.

The kit comes with everything u need to install it and u make no use of the old airbox parts.

I don't think you want to go through the trouble of using the stock piece. You would have to cut the pipe so it would align properly. The AEM rubber sleeve provides a much better fit and I would believe the air flow to be much smoother.
