iVE ONLY HAD MY CAR BACK FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND im noticing some strange boost levels. Whats happening is that at WOT, the boost is about 6 lbs, then when it reaches about 6k RPM the boost goes to 0 and the fuel pressure goes to 80 LBS. The car just looses power because its not getting boost or fuel. No idea what it can be? Belt maybe? I know someones gotta know about what it is, so someone help!!! PLEASE.

 

check the belt..

 

Sounds like belt slip....but if that was the case then you would see boost come back around 1-2psi...build up again and start slipping at higher boost levels. Unless the belt is glazed from slipping a lot.

yeah thats what i though but im wanted to make sure and see. I was hoping it was not anything serious. how is the belt gone already? do i have to get a heavier duty belt?

 

Just needs to be re-tensioned since the belt stretches a little after you've used it for a few hundred miles.

I'm at about 8-9k miles on my blower and on my 3rd belt. I've had similar problems to what you are experiencing.
