That's not what he was asking us.

I think it would be a good idea.

Hot. Overpriced, but hot none the less. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

If they could fix those two things I think it would look a lot more believable.

Have any of you actually driven an is300 manual? By the comments I would think not. As a honda/acura lover, I am very impressed by the way the is 300 handles. It is by no means a slow car, it just needs some more umph to it. It is quite a refined car. The only thing I don't care for is the gauges.(to small) Plus it has been mentioned that lexus is thinking about coming about the "L-tuned" upgrade on most of their cars. I remember seeing a picture of the L-tuned GS400 in motortrend at it was very impressive looking. Overall, the cl-s is a much better value at this time, but the is 300 is still a good car that is slightly overpriced.

I don't drive one or anything, but I think it's unfair that people say the tails are rice. It is sad that they make them now for pretty much every car. That is why you think it looks cheap.

I dig the 4door IS300, I dunno about a coupe version. I like the taillights on the IS300/Altezza, but that could be because that's the car they were MADE FOR.

is300 and Acura

Well...my roomate has the limited IBP blue IS300 with a l-tunedbody kit. He has several mods and is currently adding headers and intake with afc. Here is a link that shows my car and his. I think it looks hot and he has gotten many compliments on the IS300.net forum. I hate 4 door cars plain and simple...so the 2 dr. looks hot to me. He does HAVE 5 speed and likes it much more than my auto...i would love to turn mine in for stick but the car is already being worked on and I dont have the dough. He will be converting froman inline 6 to the supra 6spd motor. In addition it will be completed with a dual turbo kit with the works...surely you all would agree that his car looks hot and will kick our cars ass any day after he converts ...NO MATTER what we try to do to our CL-s. His current project is to weld the doors and use lamborguini (sp?) hinges to raise up...almost likea 2 door set-up. Let me know what you think......

uhm the supra is an inline6 as well, but you mean he's converting to the GTE version of the engine which can better handle a big single turbo.

Btw, how do I view the fullsize pics? I can't seem to get it to do that. Stupid commie Yahoo.

Btw, I love the Altezza grille compared to the stock one.

And this other guy:

UGLY MOTHAF'ing CAR. thx.

inline 6

Right now the IS300 is an inline 6 non-turbo Supra motor...but with modifications..it was meant to be quiter with less power...the Supra is the 2JZE similar but different block..THE Supra 2JZE can build a twin-turbo and handle up to 1200 HP (with a 6spd. trans)

A lot of modification has to be done, but it is possible and there only a few in the world! With this it can be a 10-second car just like the Supra TT....

Check the tailight covers...it deletes the EURO look

I have not been a fan of the IS300 since it's release, but I will say that this one does looks pretty nice. I like the Altezza grill & I like the body colored eyelids & tailight covers. I think the car looks clean & not rice at all.

If he does complete the Supra Turbo engine swap, that will be one bad ass IS300.

You heard correct. My friend has a black one (AMAZING CAR!!!) and they have neon lights in the rear (front turning lights too). But I think the Deville also has neon rear tail lights.

NO.....THE 2JZE - GTE conversion will be done....he is not sure when but maybe by the end of this year.....THE GE cannot hold alot of power but THE GTE can!!!! Supras are infamous for holding over 1000 HP!!!! With MOdifications it can be done and with a 6 speed getrag conversion, it will be a IS300 With a supra motor and will be unstoppable.....with the money it can be a 10 sec car with no problems......and for the IS's already there is a auto turbo done by toyomoto that is pushing 420+ to the wheels on 13 lbs of boost.....will kill many cars out there. One is pushing 606 to the wheels with a stage 5 turbo , with a 6 speed conversion. You can imagine how fast this car would be. Of course we love our CL's but don't tell me you wouldn't drive a 700 HP+ IS!!!!!! Toyomoto will be doing all the work if it is possible.......

Ya, the new G Body style does ... I'm not a Caddy man though. My dad has a '99 Deville Concours (now DTS) He likes those ol’ strip lights anyway.

Those new caddy lights are bad arse...I thought they were LED though by the way they are either "ON" or "OFF"...there's no fade at all. Neon? that's an interesting twist...hmm...But please, no more damn chrome "altezza" lights! Maxima, Altima, Camry, seems like every car manufacturer this side of Honda is putting those damn tails in...about 4 years late to the import scene when it was "ok looking"....but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!
