I was thinking the same thing -- but then again, I'm sure they realize that our cars resale value is hurting us and thus putting out a cheaper alternative is a market that might turn out to be well worth the R&D.

The resale hurts us, but helps younger buyers get into a great car... Younger people tend to mod cars more, so it makes sense to offer aftermarket parts on cars that are selling on the used car market sometimes...

I'm down to try them out. Let me see if I can get them down here in Miami this weekend. If not I'll try ordering them next week. Let's see how the GB goes, & when it get's set up.

I called a few of my distributors and this part is set to be released. My distributors already have them on order. I will be doing a Groupbuy.

i wouldn't be too quick to lump DC in with the poor quality no name headers we've seen.

until we test them out though, who knows.

Yeah I . I mean all these little 4 bangers have ceramic headers & they all have great HP increases. I don't see why DC, being a very reputable company wouldn't make GREAT headers for our CL/TLs. I think this is going to give CompTech some very well deserved competition.

I already have a few on order. I think I got the last of their supply. I believe they will be $355 shipped.

Too bad we can't trade in out headers.

It's a shame. I wish we could trade in our AW or megan headers for these DCs. I wonder if they would even be willing to make a turbo manifold for us as well. It can get expensive with going custom.

I feel like all the 6spd guys are getting kicked in the nuts . Isn't the manual tranny supposed to be more of a performance oriented model? Yet we get screwed on mods

I think since the 6 speeds were only made in '03 they decided there would be more automatics out there. Acura should make the CL again except with more horses and have them all six speeds since there was no trouble from them.

hmm, i may actually consider this being that it's dc sports and that it's going to be ~355 shipped.

anybody know how much it would cost to get these put on? how many hours of labor?

Yeah but it wouldn't hurt to make all their headers for the CL fit the 6 speeds since they would be compatible on the autos too. I believe that comptech makes only the 6 spd version now since they fit for both trannys.

Would you or anyone be willing to dyno before and after the header install to get some solid numbers on gains?

let's see...the TL's came out 99-03, accord's 98-02, CL's 01-03. DC is just a lil late on R&D, marketing, and sales on these headers! Took them long enough...geez. I would have probaby bought these over my "Megan's" any day. Oh well, too late now.

You guys are missing the point here. The car was orignially marketed and priced for middle to upper agged people who don't usually mod their cars. Now that the cars have taken a huge hit on resale value they are finding there way into the hands of young people who want to mod the cars. So yes there is more of a demand for aftermarket parts on a 10-15K car than a 30K car
