Intake Noise? Help!

I just installed my aem cai and when the engine is idling it is making this squeiling noise almost similiar to a loose belt. I was thinking maybe its the bypass valve I put in, but im not sure. Has anyone ever had this problem?

squeiling similar to a hissing noise? Because that's what my AEM CAI does. The intake hisses because there is no noise damper like the OEM setup has. All you hear is raw air being drawn into the manifold. During cruising speeds I'm sure you've also experience the whistling the intake makes if you happen to speed up a little bit and let off the gas.

not so much as a hissing noise cause pretty much all intakes do that, except the oem and/or icebox. it sounds like the bypass valve might be bad or have a rip in it. it sounds exactly like a loose belt, but only at idle when reving or cruising its not there? Im clueless man and its starting to drive me crazy!

Take the bypass out & replace with a rubber coupler. See if it goes away. A 3" to 3" Home Depot plumbing coupler will work fine to test with. Less then $5. Also go over all your connections & hose clamps.
