installed SS brake lines...

i installed the ss brake lines and bled the brakes until there weren't any more air bubbles...however, i know have to press really far on the brake pedal for the brakes to work...i dont think these are one of those things that takes a few miles to reach max effectiveness are they? should i have the dealer reflush the brake system?

Have the dealer do a Vacum/Pressure Bleed.

Did you bleed the lines in the proper order?

crap...instructions didnt say anything about a proper order....anyways...rebled the system again...sure enough a few more little bubbles trickled out...brakes got firmer....but i dont think its at its max effectiveness...will rebleed with the order above...if all else fails to the dealer and $90 less in my wallet...thanks for all the help

Next time, for anyone replacing brake lines, bleed the air from the lines first by loosening them while under pressure. This will purge the air from the the lines instead of pushing the air into the calipers, or wherever else the air will go. You'll get the job done quicker this way .

buy a vaccuum bleeder from jc whitney. If you're comfortable enough to replace the lines, you should have the tool to properly bleed the lines.
