It was really easy. There were only 6 screws all together. It was even easier to put it back together. I was considering taking the bulb out for that stupid VSA caution sign but then I realized that was the only way to know if VSA is on short of trying to peel out.

I always wanted to do that and replace the lights under neath.
I wanted to make it much more VW or BMW like.
you know ? like the red or purple/pink color.
is there anyway to do it ?

Webtoker,
Concerning the instrument guage, is the glass/plexiglass attached? Reason I'm asking is cause when I got my car, there were swirl scratches around all of the guages (on the glass). Told the dealer about it and they said they would replace it but it would mean having to take the whole dash apart. Now that I see your pictures, it does not seem like such a big job so I'm gonna have them replace it. But I do not want them to replace the whole instrument guage... would that mena they are changing out the odometer, or is the reading stored somewhere else?

When I crashed my TL the plastic covering the intruments cracked. They replaced them just fine.

Regarding the clear lens scratches....try polishing compound from a body shop, or from a detailer. Not the store bought kind, but a liquid just like polish but with a taste more "grit". Worked like a champ. WebToker, where are the remaining 4 screws?? Looks like some of those harness couplings could be the rattling culprits.
