Ingalls torque damper

Did anyone else buy one of these? I recall a thread about the motor mounts on these cars and the Ingalls torque damper was a good fix for it. Well I've had mine installed for maybe 9-10 years and I guess it's finally needing replacement. It's been making a ton of noise -- lots of creaking, semi-grinding type noises for the longest time. For awhile I thought it was one of the suspension components as it would make noise when the car would dive forward, shift, sometimes when going over speed bumps, coming to a stop, etc. Took off the Ingalls and the car was completely noise-free.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I feel like maybe these are supposed to last longer, but maybe not. Anyone know where I can get a replacement damper? The only places I can find, they are selling the full kit. A google search won't even give me the official company site

IIRc'ly, those kits have been canceled for years. I believe the damper was made by NRG anyway, so the one below may fit?
Look at the one you have for any part # or dimension info it may display and do a google search to get close to what you have.

Wow, a different manufacturer made the torque damper itself? So that would mean Ingalls only manufactured the brackets + hardware? That's pretty lame..
but still good to know! I can get this replaced, then! I guess since the torque damper was making a ton of noise that would mean it was doing its job.
